| Holy Smoke! I just got back from seeing POTC III! The movie really had me guessing up to the end about how they were going to end it. I almost thought that Elizabeth would be the one to replace Davy Jones. I loved all the different Cap'n Jack's (especially the tiny ones on his shoulders).

| I left the theater disapointed. It was ok, but it was my least favorite of the 3. Plot? Who can say? One of the most confusing movies I've seen in a while. I won't give out all the details (mainly because I can't remember them!). Barbossa, Tia Dalma, Elizabeth, and the crew go to Singapore to get a ship from a pirate lord there. The pirate lord reveals he captured Will trying to steal his maps. They all end up sailing to the world's end and they find Jack. Evidently he is in his own personal hell - filled with images of --himself! They bring him back from the dead. The rest of the movie is filled with Davy Jones, Will, Jack, and whoever else makes deals with Lord Cutler. He wants to remove all pirates from the world. Will wants to kill Davy and free his father. Jack wants to secure his eternal freedom. To do this each will have to stab the heart of Davy Jones and take his place. Jack betrays all the pirate lords and reveals their meeting place. The pirate lords meet and vote Elizabeth the pirate king, who leads them all to fight against Lord Cutler and his fleet. Bootstrap, who in under control of Davy, who is under control of Cutler, stabs Will. Jack has the heart of Davy Jones, ready to stab it. Instead he puts the knife in Will's dying hand so that he can kill Davy Jones and take his place, which will give him immortality. Ok, this is what I didn't like about the movie: There is no love triangle between Jack/Elizabeth/Will like it was hinted in the last movie. I was disapointed they left that alone all together. I wish Calpyso/Tia Dalma and Davy Jones' love story was better resolved. And her growing into this giant something - nah! One minute Elizabeth hates Norrington with a passion, then she is hysterical when he stays behind - wow! pretty fast to change such strong emotions. I wanted to see more classic Jack - i don't know what exactly, but it seemed to me that Jack didn't act like Jack until the end of the movie. I loved the past just before we see Jack at world's end when the screen is blank and you hear the soundtrack from the ride - awesome! Did everyone stay until after the credits? I think that was the same kid who was hung at the beginning! Was it a boy or a girl? Maybe I need to see it again to better understand all the complicated storylines.

| Maybe the actor was the same, but it couldn't be the same "boy" because the clip starts with "10 Years Later". I thought it implied that this was Will's son, conceived 10 years earlier, and he was waiting on shore to meet his father. I loved all the confusion. You didn't know who was doing what! When I watch movies I'm always predicting in my head, and I liked this movie (although POTC I is still my favorite) because when I though I knew who was plotting against who, it changed. I would have liked a different ending (and I agree that Calypso being set free was pretty anticlimatic. I forgot about the blank white screen and and the ride soundtrack - That was a nice touch. There was a couple next to us, who had no idea what that was all about. But I'm so mad, we waited for that last clip and the theater shut the projector light off in the middle of the clip, when Will is on the mast looking toward shore, by the time they put the light back on the scene was pulling back away from the boat. Can anyone tell me what happened in between!!!

| I thought it was AWESOME!! I had read that you were going to have to pay attention. I couldn't believe it when Will got stabbed. I screamed in the theater. And then they killed him!! I was crying. I thought it was going to be his dad that stabbed the heart but I guess since his dad was a member of the crew that he couldn't. I still can't believe it. Before they showed the clip at the end I was wondering if that was what it was going to be. I know he can only go on land once every 10 years but did Elizabeth and the boy go out in a boat to see him. How do you explain to your son that your dad is dead, but you can see him once every 10 years?? I actually thought she was going to kill herself so they could be together on the ship. I can't wait to see it again on Sunday!! |

That is how it ended. It was a nice touch, but I liked the after credit bits better in the first 2. But then again, this is supposably the last PoTC. I did read in the paper that that the way they finished this one, they could do another movie. Of course, I would LOVE it if they did. I will add though that it ended so this could be the final movie, unlike the 2nd movie where they ended it without being finalized. Did that make sense? lol. I loved the movie I loved the Mini Jacks too And OMG, LOVE, Love. Love Jack......The Monkey, how cute was he in this movie? Same with the Macaw. Loved when Jack, Barbosa, Will and Elizabeth were pointing the guns at each other and switching thier aims around. Then they show the monkey aiming a gun at the Macaw ![]() | |

| This is a little off the plot subect....but could Will have been any hotter after he became the captain of the Flying Dutchman?? Shell of the South: Davy stabbed Will, not Bootstrap - but Bootstrap took his heart. Overall I enjoyed the movie, however I think my favorite part was after the pirate lords, or rather Jack, vote Elizabeth to be King and the one pirate stands up and in this little squeaky voice says "We will go to war!" It cracked us up because it reminded us of the Princess Bride's preist in the wedding scene. "Mawwage. Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today" I also liked the white screen with the audio from the ride. I also liked how the end with Jack kind of came full circle, from the first movie. But I think I need to see it again so I can decide which movie is my favorite (or maybe so I can see Will again)!

I reread my comments, and I think I came across more negative than I intended. Overall, I liked the movie, I enjoyed it. But it definitely wasn't my favorite of the 3.

| After the credits, it shows the beach and "10 years later". Elizabeth and a child are standing on the beach watching Will sail away. Then it shows a hunky shot of Will on the Flying Dutchman. So we learn that they have a 10 year old child.

| OMG, OMG I so loooooooooooooved this film. We've just got back and I have to say that I completely enjoyed every second of that 2 hours and 40 mins. I loved everything. In particluar the scenes we enjoyed were as folllows 1. When Cutler and Will were having tea when they summoned Davy Jones 2. When all the dead people were making there way to the next world and Elizabeth's father comes sailing past 3. When they all stand holding guns to each others head 4. The marriage scene 5. All the Keith Richard scenes. By the way during the "no picutre" only sound part, our screen was completely black so we were in complete darkness in the theatre just with the ride soundtrack it way sooooooooo cool. I wonder if it's different because were in the U.K ? Oh and we forgot to stay till the end of the credits so we missed that part |

| I really like the movie. My nieces were crying when Will was stabbed. However I think he look so good as a pirate(after his death). I thought the boy after the credits look the same too. Of course in 10 years Elizabeth didn't age either. I wish they would have had more scences with Jack & his dad(Keith Richards) I did think his shrunken head mom was funny.
