Do your prefer to watch TV alone or with friends/family?

Alone. If I watch it with my friends then they are always asking me what's going on and I miss the show. If I watch it with family they end up switching the channel.

If it is a show like Lost or Heros, where you need to listen to every word (or read sub titles) and watch for little, hidden details, I want to be alone.

If it is a show like Deal or No Deal, I like having someone with me so when I am yelling at the TV, no one in my house thinks I have flipped my lid and gone totally mad.

I like to watch my "guilty pleasure" shows by myself - usually terrible, low-brow reality TV like Real World, or I Love New York, or Rock of Love. Also "girly" shows like Sex and the City, or Ugly Betty.

But most everything else, DBF and I watch together. And there's nothing like watching a good comedy like Curb Your Enthusiasm with a group of people, and having everyone just

It really depends on what I am watching. I don't like watching scary stuff alone.

Some things I need to watch alone because my DH doesn't like some of things I watch. And the other way around. All he watches is ESPN. There's only so much PTI I can take. I like watching things alone especially when I'm watching cartoons, Disney things and the Muppet Movies and soon to be my favorite Christmas movies.

Depends. I'm like wvugrrl, I like my guilty pleasure shows alone. Also, anything where you need to hear every single word (I used to watch West Wing by myself a lot). However, comedies or sports are more fun with friends.

It really depends on what it is, but most of the time I am watching TV with either DH, DS or both. Sometimes they are pestering each other and I would rather be alone.

I like to DVR and watch alone. That way I'm not interrupted and I can fast-forward through the commercials. Once you start watching TV like this, it's hard to watch TV normally again!

There is one exception. I like to watch American Idol with my family and friends.
