| Jane Austin fans!!!!!! Masterpiece Theatre on PBS starts a series with several Jane Austen novels on Sunday night. The series will include the Pride and Prejudice performance with Colin Firth!! I started reading Jane Austin back when I was in 7th grade, and she has always been my favorite author. I have seen several performances of her works, and am excited to see some new ones.

| I am hoping to catch these as well. I've heard the first one isn't all that great, but I have a hard time with reviews.

| I really didn't like this version of Persuasion. It went way too fast (understandible since it was only 1-1/2 hours.) But Anne is supposed to be a sensible (the only sensible Elliot) and strong woman. I didn't see that in this version. If one hadn't read the book, one might wonder why Capt. Wentworth wanted to marry her. Have you seen the 70s version of this? That is the one I like. If you can get past the gaudy room decorations and the 70s clothing/hair, the story line is good and more true to the book. Maggie

| I didn't like this version of Persuasion either. I never would have understood what was going on had I not read the book. I have never seen the 70s version. The version I have on VHS is from the 1995. That was a really good performance.
