| American Idol The premiere episode of American Idol is on tonight at 8pm... who's watching? I will, but I'm not sure if I should be proud or afraid..... Tonight's episode is from the Philadelphia auditions last summer..... it's usually not a good thing to be the first episode, as that's when they usually show some of the horrible performances.....

| I don't usually follow Idol that closely (I'll start watching once they get the final 36 or whatever, and I don't mind if I miss an episode), but with nothing else on these days (writer's strike

| I'll watch! I won't see the very beginning, but I'll see most of it. I can't believe it's the 15th already...

| I'll be watching to see if I know anyone. My co-worker's son went to tryout but didn't make it past the first round. He's only 17 and they told him his voice hasn't matured enough.

| I think I've pretty much decided not to watch this year. I'm never all that enthused about it anyway and generally have only watched some parts of any season.

| I'll probably have it on since there really isn't much on TV these days. Last year I said I wasn't going to watch it, but somehow it sucked me in.

| Thanks for the reminder! I can't wait to go home and program the DVR. I do hope this year is a little more entertaining than last year's. They need to modernize themselves this year (enough with the weird themes already!). I wish they'd model AI after the UK's wildly successful "X Factor," another Simon Cowell production. I always watch clips of that show on Perez Hilton, and it seems like talent and production-wise, it's what American Idol should strive to be. A quick question for our UK friends - Does the UK still have Idol, or has it been replaced altogether with the X-factor?

| Dang it. I'm going to have to watch something live tonight as I already have The Biggest Loser and One Tree Hill to watch at 8PM tonight, too. Didn't think I'd ever have this problem!
