| A small thought on the time-difference controversy on the island versus the real world: There was a 31 minute difference between the boat and the island. When Naomi first landed on the island, she told them her freighter was stationed 80 miles offshore of the island. Of course, since we know that the Naomi made contact before she died with the freighter, who even knows how much closer they've moved in since then? Either way, what if: The farther you get from the island, the faster (or more "normal" time is); but on the island itself, what if time is almost stuck in a black hole? That would (sort of) explain the delay between the delivery of the payload and its launch, as well as the time delay in the "2006" announcement of by Oceanic that they were halting any more 815 search and rescue efforts. Anywho, that's just my little theory. I hope we get to the juicier stuff soon. Oh, and for the record, I'd like to cast my vote that it's Michael who's been recruited as Ben's spy on the boat.

| I dunno, Michael seems a little obvious. And I agree, straight hair really does it for Sayid!

| Yeah! Damon and Carlton are back to the podcast! The new one out this week is up and they "answer" viewers' questions e-mailed in. It is very interesting to hear what they have to say as well as what they won't say. http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/ind...podcast#t=3421

| We just watched this episode, having been away a week in Hong Kong - and all I can say is wow! That last scene was just mind blowing - I had to immediately rewind it to watch it again. Now at least I only have to wait until tomorrow night for the next episode to air over here.

| As for the "the light doesn't scatter correctly" comment -- there's a lot of speculaton that the island is sort of a snowglobe and that the only way in or out is under the bubble or by a very specific heading towards a fissure in the bubble. Also, there's a lot of speculation that there are many Bermuda Triangle-like wormholes around the globe. You can read about them on Wikipedia. It would explain how the polar bear ended up in Tunisia, for example. Eileen

| Ooooh, almost forgot that there's also speculation about the comments between Jack and Frank (the heli pilot) about the "Red Socks winning the series." Note that they never actually reference the year they are talking about. Jack's obviously talking about 2004, as that's what Ben told him. Buuuut.... Frank could be referring to the 2007 World Series... (A clue that time "off-island" has moved at a much different pace as "on-island" and the Freighties are coming from 2007...) I know that people have poo-poo'd this as the script was written in the summer of 07 and shot in the fall of 07, but that moment would be incredibly easy to reshoot or re-edit after the World Series to make it a more important moment, canon-wise.
