...What is going on with this show?!?!?!?

The flash forward to Sayid's life after the island really upset me! I thought he'd end up a good guy but instead he's a contract killer...working for BEN?!?!?! Who are they trying to kill?

Can you only see Jacob's cabin at night?

What a shock to have Hurley faking! Didn't think he'd do something like that.

So, it looks pretty clear that Ben has left the Island many times with fake IDs and gone to various countries. Huh? Why would he put all his wardrobe in a secret closet?

Just more and more questions!!

I wondered if the others know about Ben's secret life? Does Juliette know that Ben leaves the island? I still do not trust her.
Hurley's actions last night might be the catalyst that ultimately makes him one of the Oceanic Six. He clearly is questioning John's leadership.
Sayed...what a twist that was! I knew the second I heard the person in the lab utter one word that it was Ben. Was the girl Sayed was involved with the target, or was it truly her "boss"? And I was shocked when it became apparent that she also had a hidden agenda. And Ben clearly has Sayed over a barrel; he said something about Sayed's "friends" on the island.
I have NO idea what is up with the rescuers. Daniel and his "experiments", Miles is continuously angry, Charlotte, (I haven't even began to figure her out yet), and Frank, who I think ultimately might turn out to be someone the survivors can trust...what is their mission??? Oh, and does anyone else think it strange how attenative Sayed was to Naomi's body???

Why did Sayid's girl in the flash forward have on the same bracelet that Naomi had on? Did Sayid take it from Naomi's body and give it to her?

I'm thinking that the people on Sayid's list must be affiliated with those who are trying to find the island, and that's why Ben wants them dead. I'd say they are connected with whoever hired Naomi and the rescuers.

And, did you hear Sayid say to Ben something like "you used her to get me" (I can't remember the wording) So who is "her"? His old girlfriend from his flashbacks - the same one who is living in the US and who John Locke inspected a house for?

I think that, too, cause the guy on the golf course seemed almost afraid when Sayid said he was a member of the Oceanic 6.

I thought Ben said something to the effect that Sayid before got meesed up because he let his heart guide him instead of his instinct. And then Sayid said that that was what Ben used to recruit him. ???

There were a lot of twists to the show last night!! I want to see more action on the island itself though, not just all these flash forwards.

Dan's experiment was quite interesting. It shows that time on the island moves at a slower pace than the outside world because they payload got to him much later than the person who sent it thought it did. We also re-watched last week's episode and caught his comments about the light not refracting correctly and bending instead. So, that implies that the island is in a something like a bubble which would explain why it can't be found. Perhaps they've all just disappeared into the legendary Bermuda Triangle!

Ben is quite a complex character, isn't he. So now we know that no one kills him. I also now think his comment about having a man on the ship is referring to Sayid. I think he recruited Sayid to protect the island and to kill anyone who might try to find it and the survivors. I knew the moment that Sayid told Ilsa (the girl) that her boss was on a list that he was working for Ben. Ben seems big on lists. It also shows that if Jack wants to get back to the island all he needs to do is find Sayid who could lead him to Ben. But would Jack ever admit to needing help from Ben since he despises him so much?

I don't think Sayid is his man on the ship, because Ben had detailed information about all of the "rescuers" before Sayid got a chance to board the ship. There is someone else on the ship now that's working for Ben.

Without knowing how much slower time moves on the island vs the real world I don't think we can totally rule our Sayid as the man on the ship. My gut tells me its someone else as well, but I still think Sayid is a possibility.

I love how this show makes you think. DH and I were talking all about light, bubbles and prisms last night. Makes me realize that I am using some of what I learned in High School science and it's not all useless knowledge like I thought it was at age 16.

I kind of expected what happened with Ilsa to happen, so that wasn't much of a surprise. But, Ben really shocked me!

I found it interesting that the man on the golf course got so nervous when Sayid told him he was one of the Oceanic Six. He clearly wanted to get away from him. Has word got out that those on some "list" (which he must have been on) are being picked off or was he guilty of something to do with the island and seeing a survivor of 815 freaked him out? Which then makes me wonder if this was Sayid's first hit, or if he had done some before? And by before, I mean after he got off the island, but before the guy on the golf course.

Sayid was very fixated on Naomi's body and I also found that odd. The engraving on the bracelete said "N, I'll always be with you, R.G." Who is R.G.? And I agree that Ilsa had on one very similar to the one Sayid took off Naomi. I don't think that the bracelet he took off Naomi was something he gave to Ilsa, but another one like it. Which raises yet another question about a possible connection between Naomi and Ilsa. Were they both working for the same person?

Hurley did seem to have a great deal of remorse about setting up Sayid and Kate. I think Debi is right that this may have been the turning point for him and what got him to be one of the six off the island. I think the fact that John talked him into tricking his friends will make him question what camp he should be in. Either that or Ben and Locke figure out he can see Jacob and they force him to leave the island. Who knows?

The time difference between the clock that Daniel set and the one that was launched from the freighter was thirty one minutes. Not a great deal of time, but still gives us an indication that the island is possibly in another time frame, or that time moves differently. Right now, I don't know what to make of that.

Heck, right now I don't know what to make of any of it! But, it was a great episode and I can't wait for the next one!

This is just pure speculation on my part, but I believe that Ben's "man on the freighter" may be someone that we all know from the past.

Can we just talk for a second about how HOTTTTT Sayid looked? Geez, I wished I could've been Ilsa for one minute just to run my hands through that glorious mane of hair.

Are you thinking Michael is his man on the ship? Or - maybe since Ben already had a man on the ship, he knew that sending Michael in that direction (based on the specific coordinates he gave him) would result in him finding rescue. And maybe Michael is on the ship, but not Ben's man. But it seems like Michael would be on the side of the ship people, since they are going after Ben and he despised Ben so much for orchestrating the taking of Walt. Hmmm. More thinking required on my part ...

Maybe Sayid is the one who was in the coffin from Season 3 flash-forward? I'm not aware of any friends or family he would have, except for Nadia, but we don't know at this point if she's still alive, or if she knew where he was. And if Sayid was the true contact point for Jack to get back to the island, then that would truly upset him if Sayid died.

My first thought about Jacob's cabin not being there, was that DUH - Hurley made it disappear! Seriously though, maybe it can be seen only at night. Or, remember how Ben told Locke that Jacob is not a person you go see, he has to summon you? (Or something similar to that) Maybe if you're not summoned and he doesn't want to see you then he can make himself and his cabin invisible.

About the time difference ... no, it wasn't much. Did the difference start when the hatch imploded? Or has it always been there? Is it cumulative over time? Because if so, there's not much difference in the rate that time passes. Or is it just simply a certain amount of time behind the rest of the world, and that difference came about from the original "episode" (or was it "incident"?) on the island referred to on the Dharma training films?

I was so upset about Hurley. After his encounter with Locke in the jungle earlier in the episode, I was really surprised that he would agree to participate in one of Locke's schemes. I hope he changes sides pretty soon, I hate to see him getting caught up in all that.

I've said this before, but I'll say it again ... I know Sayid had done some terrible stuff in the military. But we have come to think of him as one of the good guys while he's been on the island. But for me, it was really a shock to see him killing people in his flash-forward, although I guess it shouldn't have been.

Ben? Where are they now? Somewhere near so that Sayid could have reached him quickly after being shot, or did he manage to survive the long trip back to the island, where Ben has started conducting some strange animal experiments in another station? Or is Ben incognito as a veterinarian?

Did you notice that Sayid was shot by Ilsa in the same area as he was shot by Mikhail? Maybe not the exact spot, but poor Sayid and his shoulder!

The people on Sayid's list ... gotta be some connection to the people who were in on the whole thing from the beginning. Or at the very least connected to those on the ship, or the people who sent the ship. I think it's the ship. Why else would Ben want them dead so badly?

The bracelet - some other connection to the organizers of the rescue/nab Ben mission? Have no idea who RG might be, though. I wish we could have gotten a look at Ilsa's bracelet, to see if it was the same inscription or something different.

Huh - and here I thought I didn't have too much to say about this episode!
