| I just picked mine up last evening and I haven't even opened the cover yet! Yes - I know it's shocking! I'm trying to wait til I have uniterrupted reading time so I can enjoy it fully! I know once I'm at work, I'll have to keep myself away from the group who will have finished it already! Glad to hear it was so good!

| Rachel is on page 571, but she had to babysit yesterday, and she TRIED to read late Friday/early Saturday morning, but could not stay awake. We got it at midnight on Friday. We were 20th in line and were out the door by 12:10. |

| Done! Was hesitant at first with the story, but then got into it. My DH wouldn't let me take the book to the Cardinal game last night, so I finished it this morning. Now, back to reread it, to see if there was anything I missed.

| Finished up last night around 9pm. Realized sometime Saturday morning that I hadn't requested Amazon to rapid ship it. AAAHHH! Had to run out to pick up a copy. Then DH is on vacation and I had to sneak in a little reading here and there. Drove down to pick up DD in Indiana and then had to buy another copy for her and convinced DH to drive back so I could read if I promised to talk to him after every chapter. I enjoyed. When the spoiler thread starts I'll be right there.

| I didn't get it until late on Saturday and my DS wanted attention so I didn't get more than halfway through. I finished by noon on Sunday, but that was enough to keep me out of the garden on the most BE-YEW-TI-FUL day of the summer. Totally worth it though! The book was awesome. Eileen

| Just started reading mine last night - love it! I picke it up at Sam's club for a great price. At first, I couldn't find a copy and I was getting bummed! Then I saw a cute little 15 year old with one and had to ask her where she found it. She was very nice and we discussed the other books a bit - boy, did I feel old!

| I am on pg 500 something, and hope to have it finished tonight. My friend got it Saturday and her DH dropped it off for me this morning. I am rushing to get through it, so I will probably go back and re-read sections at a more leisurely pace this week. UPDATE: finished it last night around 9:45. Man, she packed a lot into that one book! I was glad to see my Jacob featured so prominantly in the story. Beth Last edited by MBUS; 08-05-2008 at 11:25 AM. Reason: added that I'm done! |

| Oh, I'm so glad I found these Twilight saga threads here! It's great to be able to chat with people who share my two big obsessions! I just came to the saga last month (after DS13, Evan, told me I should read Twilight) and I am totally hooked! I went to the BD release party at Borders (and I did feel a little odd being in the minority, since I'm 40 now, but I actually answered one of the trivia questions and won a button! Anyway, I read BD whenever Evan wasn't, and the two of us were finished within 48 hours. It was definitely another page-turner! I really enjoyed it (even though there were some things that I wasn't crazy about) and I am sure I'll re-read the whole series sometime. It really is compelling stuff! I'm sad it's over! Maybe I'll have to get "The Host" to take to Disney at the end of the month! ![]()

| Absolutely, I love the Twilight Saga but "The Host" is just so much more than it. You'll love it.
