What is it with all these twins?

I just read that Lisa Marie Presley is having twins, after reading a few days ago that Rebecca Romin and Jerry McConnell hare having twins as well. Add to them new twins from J Lo, Dennis Quaid, Julia Roberts, Geena Davis, Patrick Dempsey, Marcia Cross, and did I miss anyone???? Oh yes, that Angelina girl.

Something's in the water in Tinseltown!

Correct me if I'm wrong- but arent't those ladies all "older" mothers (over age 35), according to the medical community, and therefore more prone to having multiples?

I think we'll be seeing many more multiples as women wait longer to start families.....

(....and you're right - those twins are soooo adorable!)

That's so weird - we were just talking about this over dinner tonight. We thought maybe some fertility treatments going on, or just pure luck.

Wow - there certainly are alot of multiples with celebrities!
I am guessing that a few of those are fertility treatment babies too!

Or is it just because they are in the news that we notice that they are having multiples? Hard to say with all the fertility treatments available.

Angelina said that she and Brad didn't have fertility probs and didn't need fertility treatments, but yeah...most of those ladies are a little on the older (and wealthy!) side so even though it's wrong to assume, I'm assuming IVF.

You can pay 25,000 dollars now to have your eggs planted and the sex of your baby chosen. It is more thank 25k I think though. Some of the stuff that medical teams can do now. I think sometimes they are playing god.

I read the same thing. It's because they are "older" mothers. The older you are the more prone to having twins.
