| Who saw the opening ceremony for the Olympics? I could not pull myself away from the Olympic opening ceremonies! OK, I'll admit, they topped Wishes, Illuminations, Tapestry of Dreams, Fantasmic, Jammin' Jungle parade and Spectromagic all put together! The world coming up through the floor reminded me somewhat of the globe in Illuminations. Those runners must have been exhausted! One of the commentators said they may have to retire the trophy for this sort of thing after that display, and I may have to agree. I can't IMAGINE anything more thrilling, but I sure look forward to seeing if it can be done. What was your favorite segment?

| I loved that little boy! He was the one who pulled himself from the rubble after the earthquake, then went back in and saved several classmates. When they asked why, he said he was a class leader and a hall monitor, so it was his responsibility to do that. WOW! I have hope for the future.

| I loved it as well! It was truly thrilling. My favorite part was the 2,008 synchronized dancers/performers in the green light-up outfits. I hear the commentators say that they changed the color from black to green just a few days ago. ![]()

| The entire show was amazing and beautiful. I loved the lighting of the torch! I just kept saying "WOW" to all of it. Yao Ming and the little boy was very touching. This one is going to be hard to top. I always love seeing the representatives of all the nations standing together in harmony. That was an awesome sight.

| Loved it all!! Really loved the lighting of the torch! I just was so amazed by the magnitude of all the dances -- so many people moving in perfect sync! Oh -- and the "boxes" that were moving so they looked like drops of water. We kept saying that it was so precice that it had to be run by a computer and then all these people popped out of them!!! WOW! Can you imagine seeing those fireworks? They were being shot off from all around the city! It was breathtaking on TV, I can't imagine what a rush it must have been in person! DH kept saying, "Wow! Vancouver [where the next winter games will be] has to be saying, Oh S*&%!"

| I have been watching the Opening Ceremonies since 1984 and have never been as mesmerized as I was last night. It was truly awesome. I love watching the marching of the athletes with the boys b/c they learn so many things. (and teach me a few....Kylor had some tidbits of info about Myanmar that I didn't know I thought it interesting that Russia, China and Germany all had NBA stars as the flag bearers. Kylor said when they were having scrimmages for the Olympic bball games that the Chinese audience started chanting "MVP" when Kobe Bryant came out. The announcers even said that Bryant and Lebron James jersies sell better in China than Yao Ming jersies. Interesting.... Anyway, now that I went completely off topic....it's great to have the Olympics on again. I woke up and watched volleyball already this morning. So sad about the volleyball coach's inlaws, too.

| I absolutely loved the entire ceremony. It was truly incredible... The parade of nations is really awesome, but I did feel a bit of sadness when the group from Georgia came out, at the time of the ceremony they had no idea what was happening in their country....

I agree that the bar is set at what seems to be impossibly high after that. I'm glad I'm not Vancouver, because I'd be ready to pass on following that up!

| I noticed the "IllumiNations" globe too. I loved the drummers and their countdown to the start of the ceremony.
