My parents were brought up that movie theaters were Satan's playground. I don't think I've EVER been to a movie on Sunday, that's how ingrained it was.
That said, the first movie they ever took me to was A Boy Named Charlie Brown. Had my Dad not been named Charles and a HUGE fan of Peanuts, we may never have broken through the whole movie theater thing. I also remember my mom was making tacos that night and one of the shells exploded (she fried them), badly burned her hands and had to go to the ER. We were all afraid we weren't going to get to the movies (I know, thoughtless, but I was 4!) We did get to go and she sat with her bandaged hands propped up on a pillow my Dad brought for her. She was convinced that it was the devil's doing since we were going to the evil movie theater and I didn't see another movie until I was 7.
I think it was Star Wars and we went to the Drive In. I remember being scared by Darth Vader and later that night I couldnt sleep because I still heard him breathing heavily. lol
Gosh, I don't have a clue I know we went to see The Apple Dumpling Gang, and Witch Mountain at the theater, and Pete's Dragon. I think those were out before Star Wars, which I know I saw
My parents wanted to see Jaws and could not get a babysitter. They took my sister and myself with them. I remember being so scared that my mother had to stand with me at the back of the theater. I will never forget that big shark's mouth!
Holy popcorn -- oldmom and I must be dinosaurs here or something. I saw Star Wars at the drive-in when I was driving!!!!! Okay, it was an '80's re-release, but still...
I'm pretty sure the first movie I ever saw was Bambi (a re-release) or Mary Poppins (original release). My parents would put us in our jammies and take us to the drive-in. Those were the days!!

When they said "let there be light." I had to put on sun glasses!

The first movie I remember going to see was "Sleeping Beauty". I was five. My brother (who is 6 years older than me) was wrestling with me in our living room floor and he pushed my head up into the corner of the coffee table. I ended up with a black eye. My aunt stopped by to see if I could go with my cousin to the movies. Of course, my mother couldn't say no. So, I went, sporting my new black eye.
What a cool question! The first movie I remember seeing was 2001. I was really little and I think it might have been the first time I was in a movie theater. That movie started my sci-fi interest and most likely had something to do with my highly warped sense of reality!
OK now I really feel old! The first movie I remember going to see was Peter Pan. My aunt took my cousin and me and we just loved it. I just watched it again last week with my grandsons.
I'm pretty sure it was Bambi at the drive-in when I was around 3. I also thought it was pretty cool when I realized as an adult that my parents must have taken me to see Star Wars episode 4 when I was only 4! I asked my mom and she said that yes they'd taken me! I figured then that it couldn't be that bad to show DD when she was 7 b/c I hadn't been scarred for life!
DD saw tons of movies via dvd, but the first one we took her to was Monsters Inc.
