Chapter 3???????????? Where do you find the time? Can everyone else please cut and paste the roll call, and put in where you are? I'm trying to do a more self-paced discussion, but I am finding that it is hard to discuss for all the spoilers!!! quesue(Sue) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Diz(Dorie) ![]() ![]() ![]() chapter 23MinieMe(Jennifer) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Stretch2684(Vicky) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dduff(Danell) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() MinieMe(Jenn) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() GoofEMe (Jamie) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() BettyBeBop (Betty) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tricia Davids (Tricia) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sandra Bostwick (Sandy) ![]() ![]() ![]() chapter 4Remember, your homework is to find the Disney reference in chapter 3 and give a hint!

The Winter Lodge was my first of her books, but it is fun to see what all and who all has popped up already from that book. The lesson about not resisting is evidently one I haven't learned quickly - since I keep having to "practice" it in my life. I found the reference too!

I think it is neat the background of the person that the Disney comment was referring to.

At the beginning of Chapter 4, we find some tips on keeping cut flowers. The author quotes Constance Spry "When creating a floral arrangement, always allow some space between the flowers to prevent a crowded effect. One should leave room for the butterflies." In the context of the book, do you think this has some meaning, or do you think the author just wants us to know how to keep a bouquet longer?

| No worries! I still have to catch up! I am fascinated by the way everyone in this town seems to stick around the people they knew when they were kids! (Well, OK, it is a pretend town, so I guess the writer can make up whatever she wants!)

| I finished the book and while I was out I bought Snowfall at Willow Lake. None of the Barnes and Nobles had it in stock.

| I agree, we live in a smallish beach resort town, and we can't go anywhere without running into someone we know (especially DH). We even ran into someone we knew from years ago jogging on the bike path today. We both grew up here and I married my highschool sweetheart. I would say we still hang around quite a few people we grew up with.

I just found out the true story of Greg and his ex-wife. In just three letters OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm afraid to say anything because I'm still not sure where everyone is. So, basically, if the event that shall not be mentioned had not happened, Greg and Nina might have been together all along! I now return you to your previously scheduled life!

| I was also very surprised when I found out why Greg and Sophie married. This circumstance seems to be a recurring theme in many Susan Wiggs books. While waiting for this book to be available at the library, I took out another random book of hers. The same theme was present there too. Very interesting.
