Harry Potter 6 - Who's Going?

Okay, with less than 10 days to go before the Half Blood Prince opens, is there anyone else out there as crazy as we are - planning to go to the midnight opening?

I'm going to buy our tickets tomorrow - no on-line sales at the local thee-a-ter. We actually had to think about it this time - we both have to work the next day, but we just can't pass up the chance to wear our wizard outfits again. And it's just not the same if it's not the midnight show. Yep, we are serious nerds!

I am not going to the midnight showing, but I will see if opening day. My bff and I have a tradition of seeing each movie together, usually on opening day. This year we are going to try and catch a matinee of a Broadway show (depends on what we can get from TKTS) and then seeing the movie in the evening.

I don't have a costume, but if I did you can bet I would be wearing it!!

Went to see Transformers with DGrS and DH last Friday (had the day off because of the 4th holiday). We had been checking daily to see when ticket sales would begin and they had! So, I now have tickets for for the midnight show for me, DH, DGrS (19), and DS. DDinlaw is not into Harry Potter and is very happy to stay at home to sleep and take care of the other kiddies. Not sure how well I'll be able to function at work on Wednesday but will try to stay awake as much as possible!

DD's birthday coincides with the first day. She has requested to take five friends to the movie and then dinner at Cheesecake Factory. So, yes, I'll be seeing it.

I'm trying to figure out when I can preorder tickets now.

I'm not really into Harry Potter. I did like the first one though. But I think it is cool that you are going for the midnight showing! I might just have to do that with they come out with the Hobbit movie(s)...

I'll be there opening day, but not at midnight (we're on vacation with lots of kids and family and I don't think they'd appreciate us coming in that late at night.)

We're planning on a viewing schedule to re-watch the previous movies leading up to opening day!

DH and I will be there but not at the midnight showing. We are hoping to have
a "date" night that night and see it together. We've been watching movies at
the theater seperately because our sitter has been on vacation.

We'll def. be going, but will probably wait a few days to see it. Just til the crowds thin down. The only midnight showings I have ever done were the Star Wars movies. (Die hard Star Wars fan)
