| I saw a couple of blips - Al Sharpton (how did that man get to be "famous"?) for about a minute until I couldn't take him anymore! Brooke Shields - I thought it was okay, and she was trying to bring the Michael Jackson she knew into light, for about 3 minutes, and then Paris's statement. I thought that was lovely and heart-felt. I do have a problem though, and so does everyone I've spoken to: Michael Jackson fought for years to keep those children hidden from public eyes. He went to great extremes that were ridiculed. Now, their pictures are everywhere - exactly what their father didn't want. I feel the family was exceedingly irresponsible to have them at the PUBLIC memorial! There was a private service beforehand that they attended, they should have been taken back to their grandmother's or wherever they're staying. Seems that no-one was really thinking about what Mr. Jackson wanted for his children - to be anonymous. Before, they could have gone out in public, and no-one would be the wiser about who they were - now, there is no chance what-so-ever they won't be hounded by the press, and stalked for the rest of their lives (or at least until they are not interesting which I doubt will be any time soon). |
