| Enough already...but about the memorial Well, while I agree with Scott about the overkill of MJ coverage, I did watch a few clips of the memorial service on the internet. And I wonder how many of those people there were there to actually honor him and how many were there to get their picture taken and their name in the papers. It seems like people are still using him in death. I saw a little of Brooke Shields' speech and it seemed like she was putting herself up for glory more than Michael "He knew I was always there for him". His daughter's speech was truly heart wrenching though. Who knows what those poor kids are going to go through in the next few months/years. And I hope the gossip about their paternity stops. Having seen the boys' faces I think they look like Michael. I hope they find some normalcy in their lives.

| I watched the very beginning - the arrival of the casket, Mariah, and Queen Latifah reading Maya Angelou's poem, and that was it. I saw a few clips last night of We Are the World and Heal the World; Paris' speech was heartbreaking. I felt terrible for her and her brothers. I'm with you, though - for a man who spent the last 15 years of his life doing everything he could to avoid publicity, I wonder what he would've made of the spectacle that was his funeral.

| I didn't see any of the memorial, but I agree that I hope the media, et al, allows those children to go back to the private lives they've been used to. My heart aches for them.

| I watched it all yesterday, I cried, especially when Paris spoke. I cried because he meant alot to me, and I didn't realize that until he died. How much of his music I really enjoyed! That shocked me actually. But now it's time to move on.

| I watched the memorial and cried 'specially when Paris spoke about her daddy and when his brother sang Smile....It wasn't the spectacle that I thought it would be, I thought it was tastefully done. However, I do agree that now the memorial is over, let them get on with their lives and start the grieving process.

| Except that now they are talking about Jermaine's music career getting a boost due to his performance at the memorial - hmmm. And - I forgot to give the gold medal in using the dead to advance your long-dead career - Corey Feldman dressing at MJ at the funeral.

| I thought the service was very well done. I think through Brook's speech we got a peek at the real MJ. The whole thing was tastefully done. Now the family can grieve in private. Clearly there were some celebrities not there for MJ or his family. Ebay has a posting for a celebrity programs + 2 roses from the top of the casket.... talk about taking financial advantage.

| I watched some of the service yesterday...I have to say Brooke Shields was the ONLY one who I actually thought was heartfelt and sincere. I honestly thought the entire family on stage at the end was "laughable". And I'm sorry, as heartfelt as it was, I don't think it was a responsible "parenting" decision in ANY WAY to let Paris speak at that service. It was a multi million viewer audience and this is when they choose to "reveal" these children to the world???? It just felt very contrived and staged. I just hope that Debbie Rowe doesn't decide to make this into a custody thing. I think the best decision would be to give custody to his mother with the stipulation that Grace the nanny (other than their father, the one constant in their lives) and make sure that Joe Jackson stays far away from them. (not sure if anyone else saw the Primetime Family Secrets on thsi last night...it was very interesting as far as the children were concerned)
