| My question is the auditions already took place so does that mean we will see Paula at the begining just not for the live shows? Or did paula not do the auditions? Confused!

| Interesting - there's been a lot of coverage about Paula potentially not being back this year. It echoes what happened here with the X Factor (another Simon Cowell show) a couple of years ago, when Sharon Osborne didn't return and was replaced by Cheryl Cole.

| The thing that annoys me about the Katy Perry replacement is that I've heard her singing live - she's not good. (Kind of reminds me of hearing Sheryl Crow sing live once - after that it was clear that the "studio" helped her singing out a LOT.) I'd rather they bring on someone like Lady Gaga, who, while weird, sings very well in concert. Or someone actually IN the music industry, who would listen to the people and say, "That's not going to sell an album, no matter how well the public likes them. (*Ahem...calling Taylor Hicks, here!)
