Did Anybody Else See "The Time Traveler's Wife"?

I went with a friend today to see this movie, and I really enjoyed it. It definitely was a "Chick Flick", so I was glad I saw it sans DBF as I know it wouldn't have been his type of movie. Now I am reading the book. I hope it is as good or better than the movie.

Not yet. I'm almost finished the book. Someone organized about 20 girls in my neighborhood to read the book, and go to see the movie, but it's hard to find a date that works for 20 people. We're still working on finding the date to go see it. Glad you liked it!!!!

I loved the book, but I am not sure I will see the movie. I liked Henry very much in the book, with his punk rock music taste, etc. The movie seems to be a total chick flick and the book was not. Did you like the movie? I'm torn, because I enjoyed the book so much I think the movie will disappoint. And DH really does not want to go, lol.

I haven't seen the movie or read the book. But I want to - and I've wanted to read the book for quite a while, just haven't had the time. Maybe it'll be my "Yeah, finals are over!" gift to myself.

I saw it last week and really enjoyed. I think I might read the book soon as I imagine it is good.

DH surprised me and took me to see it for our 11th anniversary. We don't get out much and when we do we only see G rated movies, so I thought he'd definitely pick The Hangover. He said he wanted to see something romantic and took me to see The Time Travller's Wife Instead. We both loved it and I can't wait to read the book. Let me know how you like it.

I read the book and mostly enjoyed. I am curious how the movie handled the back and forth between time periods. Was it confusing?

Thanks for posting the mini review. I am reading the book now and enjoying it. Now I will probably see the movie when I'm finished.
