Thumbs down Sookie rip off

Stopped at B&N to buy the new Sookie Stackhouse book, only to find that what it is , is 5 short stories, with huge print and pictures, the entire book would have taken me 1 hour to read, tops- so for 23.00 ( minus 20% + 8% tax-) forget it, I'll wait, I am so disapointed! And yes, I guess I should hve read more closely the info on Amazon

I had heard a rumor a few days ago that it was a book of short stories...this just confirms it. Mine should be coming tomorrow from Amazon. I'll have to let you know what I think.

It's a
collection of short stories that have already been published elsewhere I've already read one about Sookie attending a Halloween party at Fangtasia "Dracula Night," . It was printed in another book. I think I just might buy it used or get it from the library. That's so disappointing.

I saw that on Amazon and thought it was s rip off, too. I know I'm anxious for the next Sookie book, but I think I will pass on this.

I'd never read any of the short stories in the book and wasn't expecting a real Sookie book until May so I really enjoyed the "tease." Also had a 30% off coupon so I didn't really mind buying it too much...gotta have the complete collection, lol!

It was nice that she put all the stories together in one location, so you didn't have to buy a bunch of other books with stories you didn't care about. The stories themselves were so-so. There's one about a party that Eric throws at Fangtasia for Dracula Day, which was really entertaining, but on the whole, I was less than impressed with the rest of them.

I did like that in the forward, Harris told you where the stories fell in relation to her books.
