ZombieLand!

OMG!! Funny, funny, funny. DH and I laughed through quite a bit of it. Think "Shaun of the Dead" meets "National Lampoon's Vacation" meets "Breakfast Club".

And - there is quite a substantial cameo by a very famous actor - and he plays himself, quite well I might add!

Only thing - NOT the thing to take a 4 year old to, as the people who sat in front of us found out - they had to walk out before the end of the movie. If you're squeamish, maybe not for you, otherwise - good, funny, nonsense movie.

Thanks for the review! My DSis wants to see it, and invited me, but I wanted to hear about it first. Seems it is getting good reviews, so I think I will go after all.

DH is at the movie theater watching it right now! I want to see it, but not badly enough to pay for a babysitter, so I'll wait for it on DVD!

That's what I was hoping for! I love Shaun of the Dead. Maybe we can go see it tomorrow since DH is off.

Zombieland ~ possible spoilers

Has anyone else seen this?

Kylor asked to go yesterday, so we did. I was kind of dreading it, but I was surprised! It was entertaining and pretty funny. I was pretty surprised by the Bill Murray cameo, too!

DH and I went to see it last week - I loved it!! The Bill Murray part was hilarious!
Loved the whole show, although I might hesitate to take my girls. I think it's a bit too adult for Lauren (11) and too bloody for Kathryn (16). Although, they've both loved Sweeney Todd since it came out. Mmmm.

I saw it the other day, I thought it was very good overall. Though I kind of wish it was longer! I'm a sucker for end of the world, few people left on Earth, and zombies thrown in type of movies!

Took my two kids to see it yesterday. DS loved it. DD liked it.

It was entertaining and I didn't feel like I'd wasted my time. There were scenes that I just loved and others that I could have lived without. I wish there has been a bit less blood/gore stuff (ripping out body parts and viscera especially). I would have liked it to be more like it was in Shaun of the Dead. Speaking of which.....I felt like this movie was the American humor version of that movie.

Our favorite stuff was the narration and the listing of the rule #s on the screen We also loved how the group developed their friendship over the course of the movie....going from adversaries to companions.

And Woody Harrelson was a hoot!. The scene when they get the Hummer, his reaction to Bill Murray were so funny.

And yeah, Bill Murray was a great addition. Never guessed that his house was where they were headed.
