| 2012 We've just started to see the trailers for the new film 2012 over here and it looks like it's going to be quite something. Interestingly, I see it's opening in the US and the UK simultaneously (for once!) on 13 November. I'm particularly fascinated by this, as the premise is the world ending on 21 December 2012 - and guess what?  That's my 40th birthday!  It could be quite a birthday!  Anyone else planning on seeing this when it comes out?

| DH is really looking forward to seeing this one - And I can't believe that 12/21/12 is your 40th b-day! I'll bet that will make watching the movie even more interesting!!!

| I'm not...I know it's only a movie, but I don't like to see things being blown up and bombed. It reminds me too much of 9/11. On the positive side, I do LOVE the Adam Lambert song that is in the movie!

| We are, we are!  When we first saw the trailer for this movie, I didn't know that it was called 2012, so at the end of all the destruction, when the 2012 flashes on the screen in giant numbers, I turned to DH and said loudly, "REALLY? WHY ARE THEY TEASING US WITH THIS TRAILER NOW WHEN THE MOVIE'S NOT COMING OUT FOR 3 YEARS!!!!!" There were definitely some snickers behind us while he explained the title of the movie. Oops.

| We will probably be seeing it when it comes out on DVD. Intersting dates for your 40th birthday Cheryl. The movie opens on Friday the 13th...

| Wow I don't know where I have been but until reading this post I hadn't heard about it. So I went on line and looked at the trailer. Unbelieveable effects and kind of scarry.
