| The price of a movie How much does it cost to go see a movie where you live? Here a normal night showing is $6.50, matinees are $6. But a combo popcorn/pop is $12.75!!! Geez.

| All showings on Monday thru Thursday and matinées on the weekends are $5. The price of a ticket goes up to $10 on the weekends during non-matinée times. The price of concessions is ridiculous!

| Matinees (which are the only ones we go to) are $6.50. A popcorn and two drinks usually runs about $15.50.

| 7.50/9.50 It's so much that we just don't go anymore. Last movie I saw in the theater was Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood. Popcorn and soda is usually close to $5 each!!

| Our matinees are $6.50. Our theater also does "first showing of the day" films for $5.50. Basically, if you go to the first showing of any film at the theater, it's a lot cheaper. I couldn't really tell you what the normal evening prices are, because we never go to them! Concessions really have become ridiculous. ![]()

| First showing of the day is $5 for everyone . . . matinees are $7.50 for adults and $5 for kids . . . regular movies are $10 adult and $5 kids . . . movies in 3D are $13 for adult and $8.50 for kids . . . IMAX movies are $14 for adults and $9 for kids. Our AMC theater at the mall has been running a deal recently where you can get 3 small items for $7.50 or something like that (small soda, small popcorn, small candy). Otherwise, it is ridiculously expensive (like $15 or something) for one large popcorn and one large soda. ![]()

| Here, it's something like £7 for the normal seats and £9 for the superior seats - about $11 and $14.

| From what I have heard, the theaters actually make their money on the concessions. They don't get very much from the cost of the ticket.
