| Disney's A Christmas Carol *Possible Spoilers* We just got back from seeing it in 3D. WOW! What a BEAUTIFUL movie. Don't forget though, it's a dark, scary story....and Robert Zemecki kept it as such. Jim Carrey did such a great job, without making it "over the top." Half the time I forgot it was him. What did you all think?

| I haven't seen it yet. I'm dying to, but not sure if it was something that DS could handle and I appreciate your input on it also being "dark, scary" so I think it's a definite 'out' for us, because I dn't want to go w/o DS. But looking forward to it on DVD. ![]()

| We are all three excited about this one. I can't wait to see if it hopefully next weekend. I teach this Dickens' novel to my seniors and have liked everything I've seen so far as it really seems to follow the book very closely.

| Jim Carrey's Christmas Carole-Scary-not for uner 10 years old We went to see Disnye's Christmas Carole with Jim Carrey last night. It was great but my 13 year old had some moments of "tell me when it's over" and "I did not know this was a Halloween movie". She covered her face alot with her hands and peeked thru her fingers. Lots of parents who brought kids under the age of ten left during the movie because their children were crying. We heard lots of " I wanna go home". My daughter compared the scary meter to the movie Beetle Juice ( she watched that last week for the first time). Christmas Carole was really great and beautiful and I would see it again( on DVD) but not for the young ones. Make sure you see it in 3D if you go...sooooo worth it!! The commercial says that it is scary but being a Disney movie a lot of people(myself included) may think, " it can;t be that scary".....It is. |

| I agree I wish I would have looked into things a little better. My girls did ok, on the last spirit, one DD put her coat over her hear and the other covered her ears. Oh well live and learn. Granted a good movie, not for children.

| I didn't really look into this movie at all before going tonight, so was a bit surprised by the dark look of the show. My 7 year old thought it was "ok", I think the scariness kept her from loving it. My 15 year old DD thought it was cool but wondered how many kids got lost in the language used. I thought that it was beautiful and scary and very different from any movie that I've seen lately! While I liked the Polar Express, the people had a weird almost-photograph-almost-CG look that came off a little creepy. They did much better with that technology in this movie. Definitely go to the 3D if given the chance.....so very cool!

| I've always loved the traditional Mickey's Christmas Carol! I don't have any wanting to see the new one. I've seen the previews and it doesn't look like the one I 've always loved with Mickey.

| It's a dark story. I remember when I was little - one million years ago - we would watch the 1951 movie with Alastair Sim on TV. It was like watching a scary movie. We would turn all of the lights off. My dad loved the movie, so that is why he made such a big deal out of us watching it together. Anyway, although I hate going to movie theaters, I will go to watch this. It is a wonderful story.
