Okay so I've been secretly lusting for an e-reader and I've been reading up a bit on them, and when I mentioned this to DH he said,"Oh yeah, those look cool. Let's get one," which is good, 'cause he's paying for it. But now I have a question - probably a dumb one - and I know my PP pals will have a quick answer for me, and won't think it's dumb.
If I buy a Kindle, can I read e-books from, say, Barnes & Noble on it? I'm leaning towards the Kindle, but B & N has some e-books I want that Amazon doesn't. TIA!

Nope. Kindle is an Amazon item. B&N has the Nook, if you think you'll want more books from there than from Amazon.
I've not found too many books I wanted that weren't on the Kindle. I like their free books. Sometimes they're really great books that lead me to purchase more from that author. DH says that the free books cost us more than the other ones!
