Back in Nicaragua for Redemption Island. The arrive by helicopter, The newbies in one and Rob and Russell in another. The newbies didn't know till Jeff told called them out. The Clapped and were happy to see Rob but were a bit upset at the site of Russell.

Francesca made the statement that they looked like they were sizing them up. Jeff then had them pull buffs for tribes. The buff were wrapped and Jeff had them unwrap them Rob had Ometepe and Russell Zapatera. Rob's team welcomes him with open arms and were so happy to have him. Russell's team welcomed him but were a bit suspicions of him. Stephanie was to aline with him. Jeff then explains Redemption Island to them.
When voted out they head to Redemption Island were the have to maintain the shelter, feed them selves and when the next person gets there they will duel to see who stays for a second chance at the million dollars.

Zapatera - Russell gives everyone a pep talk right off, his plan is to take control of the tribe and be leader this time round. They begin to build the shelter with a tool box full of stuff.

Ometepe - They too have the tool box of stuff and begin to build. It's relaxed camp. Kristina starts looking around everything for the clue to the HII and Rob catches her. It made her nervous. People start talking and Alliances start. Kristina, Francesca, and Philip make an alliance. The others migrate to Rob.

Zapatera - Russell talks with Stephanie and puts his hooks in her. David tells Mike about Russell and Stephanie. They know that at the first chance they have they should get rid of him.

Ometepe - Kristina takes a walk look at all the land marks, knowing that's were the HII will be, She tells the cameras that Rob has to go. She then looks under a tree under some rocks and finds the HII. She plan to tell someone but isn't sure who. She does talk to Francesca, and Philip about voting out Rob. Philip wants to know where the votes are coming from and get very rude about it.

Immunity Challenge: They have to push 4 big blocks to the bottom of a temple to make stairs then the go up them were 1 chops at a series of ropes to reveal more steps at the top they will put a puzzle together to make the top of the temple.

Zapatera takes the lead and even thou Ometepe makes up time it is too late and Zapatera wins. Russell is smug.

Ometepe - The scramble begins. Kristina tells Francesca about the HII and her plan to get Rob out. They vote Rob and Philip gets them to vote for her and she plays the HII. Francesca talks her out of it and says they should vote for Natalie. Kristina then tells Philip about the plan and he wants to know were the votes are coming from She shows him the HII and give him the full plan. Rob's plan is to split the vote between his alliance to flush out the HII since he thinks she may have it. The votes are for Kristina and Francesca.

TC: Jeff starts with talk on getting to camp and who is the possible leader. I got a little lost but the talk turned to the vote and Philip freaks out and spills everything witch is odd for an ex agent who keeps his word. He tells Rob that Kristina and Francesca planed to vote him out and that Kristina had the HII. Rob asks them about it. Francesca tells him it wasn't him it was Natalie. Kristina says almost nothing and then Rob asks to see it and she show it to him. He holds it and says if you give this to me you stay but she refuses. They vote.

Francesca is the first on Redemption Island.

It was a wild TC and even Jeff was amazed by it. So on to next week.

Russell meets his match Ralph and so does Philip a small crab and Francesca takes the first step to redemption.

Why didn't they vote out Philip????? That guy has no filters. He is a wacko. It's a good thing he is an EX-federal agent because he cannot keep a secret. I cracked up at how he let it all loose at Tribal. Wow.

Poor Francesca..... I really like her. I hope she can handle Redemption Island OK.

I love how Stephenie (my person) chose to align herself with Russell. It will be interesting to see if her strategy works. I kinda don't think so......

That was a strange first tribal council. I think there must of been more going on behind the scenes with Phillip and the two women we didn't see. I would lay low at first tribal and not make a big play or scene. I would never tell anyone I had an idol in the first place. I never cared for Russell but he is right when he says they are all idiots. In the end I was happy with the result. I didn't care for Franquesca . Fillip will be interesting as long as he last which should not be very long.

Oh, good start to Survivor!!!!!

I couldn't stand Philip, just for walking around in his pink underwear!! How can anyone take him seriously? He lost it at TC. And I can't believe she already found the HII!!!

(So, the next person voted out at TC also goes to RI and then THEY 'fight' it out to go back? )

They fight/puzzle make/whatever to have the right to stay at Redemption Island until it's time to send someone back to the main group. I'm thinking it might be about merge time before they send a Survivor back. So in the meantime, they'll have had challenges at RI to see who gets to stay each time a new person gets voted off at Tribal council (after a couple days together, is my guess). There will never be more than two people on RI, and that would be while they are waiting to do their challenge.

Well, my survivor didn't last long lol Hopefully, she'll be back, but somehow I don't think that's gonna happen.....

If Russell (my person) plays the game the same as he has always played it he will keep her around just as long as she is good for him.

Uggghhh...the pink underwear was horrible!!! I was waiting for something to get blurred out. Seriously, why do people dress they way the do when coming on this show?

Every time DH and I watch we say the same thing. Why do they come dressed in dresses and suits. When I left my house for survivor I would be dressed ready for the game. Cargo pants that zip off into shorts. A swim suit on under my clothes. Things like that. Have these people never watched Survivor? The pink underwear for sure was a bad idea.

Usually what happens is they are attending a 'publicity party' or the like and are taken from there (unbeknownst to them) straight to the Island. If the person has any clue about the game (and you can tell some do) they'll wear layers and comfortable shoes to anything having to do with Survivor once they're picked.

Did you see the heels (I think on Stephenie) last night when they were on the mat? Looked like 6" stillettos. Not so good for beach walking.

And I would definitely choose my underwear very carefully.

Last night Jeff was tweeting live while the west coast saw the show. He said Philip was Survivor gold and thank the survivor gods.

Even though I don't really like him, I'd have to agree. That tribal council was great for the very first one. If it's going to be like that for the rest of the season we're in for a good show.

Phillip is great TV for sure. He's a piece of work no doubt! And as for dressing for a publicity shoot, I would show up like Rob; he was dressed to play the game for sure!

hmmmm . . so they will "fight" to stay on RI and then at some point to back into the game . . . interesting . . .
