The teams headed home to Atlanta Ga. All the teams get on the same flight. Once in Atlanta they must find The Flight Safety International were they will find there next clue.
The team must learn to fly and land a plane in the flight simulator. Once they are successful they will get the next clue. One will be the pilot and the other the Co pilot.
All the men were the pilots and the ladies the Co pilot.
Jeremy and Sandy landed the plane on the first try Ernie and Cindy were the next to leave. Marcus and Amani had a hard time. It took Marcus 12 tries to land it.
Now they must find the former residence called “The Dump”, this is the Home of Margaret Mitchell the author of ‘Gone with the Wind’.
Jeremy and Sandy’s cab driver took them to the wrong place. Cindy and Ernie got to the Dump first.
Who gives a damn. 1 team member must use an old fashioned type writer and type out their next clue. They must also figure out that there is no #1 on the keyboard and that they have to use the lower case ‘L’ in its place.
Ernie, Sandy, Marcus
The clue ’44 – 715 – 74’ they must figure out that 44 is Hank Aarons number, 715 is the number of home runs he had to break the record and 74 is the year it was broken. This will lead them to Turner Field.
Now they must map out the race on a giant map. One will be rigged and the other will call out the countries.
Cindy got in the rig and didn’t need any help to mark it out. Jeremy got in it and Sandy had to tell him all of them missing Indonesia at first. We didn’t get to see Marcus and Amani do this one.
Now they must make their way to the Swan House to win the race.
On the way Ernie and Cindy got lost and this gave Sandy and Jeremy time to catch up but alas it didn’t happen. Ernie and Cindy come it first. They plan on using the money to start a charity.
Congratulations Ernie and Cindy.
Thank you all for playing catch you next season my racing peeps.
So sad Marcus had such a tough time with the flying!
We all thought this was kind of a boring finale.
I do have to give credit to Cindy & Ernie for the amount of preparation they did. I was also interested in hearing they want to use the money to start a charity.

We missed the last 12 minutes. My DVR taped from 8-9:29....and of course it didn't finish until 9:41. Luckily, when our tape ran out it was obvious what the order would be.
I'd like to know exactly how many tries Marcus/Amani had at the flying. Anyone know? The recapper at EW.com seems to think it was 12 or so.
I was impressed with Ernie looking at the strike keys to find the "1". I don't think Cindy would have thought of it.
When Sandy neglected to remember Indonesia...I was thinking Jeremy would have to restring the whole thing from the start. Lucky for him the caribiners clipped so he didn't have to. Saved them a lot of time.
Hey, my team won....Wow, I haven't had that happen before It seems like they are a nice couple!!! Seems they prepared well, and good hearts.
Honestly, those football references were over the top last nigh from Marcus. They tried 12 or 14 times to land the plane. He kept on coming in sideways.
It was a good season. Nice people. Great places. I will be sad that it is over for the season.
Thanks everyone!!! Thanks Marcie for keeping us all informed-it was really appreciated.
Marcus's football metaphors.... I was actually pretty amazed at how he could make everything into one. I was always waiting to see what he'd come up with next. Didn't bother me a bit.
I didn't dislike Cindy as much as many people here. I didn't mind that they won. Though I was pulling for Amani and Marcus. She has the best attitude ever.
At one point the screen said that they were on attempt 12 for the simulator, so I think that was how many tries it took. If he hadn't kept sliding off the runway.....
I have to think Marcus was coached to keep the football metaphors coming.

Urghh!!! Cindy was bossy the entire trip and I thought rude to some of the people they encountered. She was really rude to the taxi driver in Tibet. Plus, she dropped the ticket for the train and didn't get a penalty for that. I would've loved Amani and Marcus, or Jeremy and Sandy to win.
Cindy & Ernie seem nice enough and I do agree that they were smart to prepare so much.... I'm happy for them; but..... they were not the team I was rooting for. I would have liked to see the snowboarders win; or the older couple would have been nice. Once those two were gone, I was rooting for Marcus.....
I agree that the finale was not very "exciting"....
