DH and I got our tickets today for the midnight showing this Thurs evening of Dark Knight Rises. I absolutely love the first two movies in this trilogy (and I am normally not a comic book movie girl at all ). They are just so well done (and ok, yes, I've been in love with Christian Bale since 1992). DH and I re-watched Batman Begins tonight and we are watching Dark Knight tomorrow night. Just wondering if I was the only one counting the minutes?
Luke, who has a huge Batman collection, has been counting down since he first heard about the movie. Unfortunately, our Friday is already full, so we're heading to the IMAX on Saturday.

Not really a Batman fan, but the DDs and DH are excited.
DD Lauren is at karate camp - and they're going to take a select few of the kids to the midnight showing. Lauren is in that group - and she's stoked!!
O...M....G. I cannot even begin to describe how perfect Dark Knight Rises is! What a fantastic conclusion to this awesome trilogy. I absolutely loved it and the ending is priceless. (No spoilers from me) I think this may be tied for my all-time favorite trilogy with Toy Story. I can't wait to see DKR again. I will definitely be going for a second time while it's still in theaters.
Just got back from seeing it with my son. We liked it. My favorite of the three. He still likes 2 better. I liked how it ended too
So glad you guys liked it!! I think it might be my favorite too. DH I think is torn between all three - he loves Ra's al Ghul in #1 and the Joker in #2 and <no spoilers> in #3....
We saw it on Friday, and we both really loved it. Personally, I will truly miss this core cast. I have loved Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman...and Christian Bale is my all-time favorite Batman. Perfect in every way, including being totally gorgeous. I don't mind admitting I think he's just beautiful to look at.
The only part that I had a hard time with was when Batman was fighting Bane in the sewer. That scene was just too long and hard to watch. It had me squirming in my seat. (But that might have been the intent?)
Otherwise, I thought the movie was really well put together. And I loved Joseph Gordon Levitt in it. Great addition. And Anne Hathaway did a lot better job than I'd anticipated. And I don't know how they made Tom Hardy such a bruiser. He's not a very big or tall guy, though he is pretty ripped usually, he must have gained a lot of weight for the film. I do think some camera angles from below helped him seem taller.

I agree completely with both of you!! (Especially the part about Christian Bale...sigh....he's been my celebrity "heartthrob" since 1992!!)
