SO far in the US we have only seen the first episode which was a 2 hour season premier.
I am just curious how they are going to save Downton Abbey since granny has refused to bail them out.
Someone said they give a summary of each episode of season 3 on Wikipedia and I was tempted to go on there and read ahead but haven't done it yet.

I loved the kick off to the new season. I'm so happy the Mary and Matthew got married and we didn't have to wait all season doing the whole will they or won't they. I'm interested to see if Downton gets saved. It has to since that house is a big part of the show.
Yea for Mary reading Matthew's letter and finding out Daisy posted it.
And yea for Matthew going ahead and saving Downton with money.
And boo for poor Edith being gilted at the alter. I hope something good happens for her.
And I'm starting to think that Mr. Bates may actually have offed his wife.... Poor Anna, if that's the case.
And did we hear it correctly, Mrs Hughes, doesn't have cancer?
And why in the world does anyone listen to Thomas? Poor Mr. Moseby getting caught up in one of his little schemes.
I've seen all of season 3 so I'll be very careful not to say too much. :3
But oh my goodness, when Matthew and Mary got married I thought I'd cry. I was so happy for them. And poor, poor Mr. Bates. He's grown on me and I was sad to see him accused.
My heart broke for poor Edith. I thought she was finally going to get her moment in the spotlight only to have her heart ripped out, and right at the alter. I'm not sure about Mr. Bates either. I don't know if that lady who Anna went to see is telling the truth or not. I really like Mr. Bates, so it would be horrible to find out her really murdered his wife. And I'm so glad Matthew finally agreed to save Downton!! Did anyone else get a little misty eyed when Lady Cora told Mrs. Hughes that no matter what happened they would take care of her?
I have to say that this season has been full of twists and turns and it's fabulous! We had the Christmas special here on Christmas Day and wow! It's too bad we have to wait till September for more. I'm not sure how far into the series you are over there but you really can't miss a single minute. Xxx

Anyone watched the show last night? What an emotional episode!!! One minute I'm yelling at the doctors to help Sybil and the next I'm crying hysterically!
