Big Brother

Is it me or is anyone else shocked at what they were showing on Big Brother the other night???? I can't believe all that is going on this season. I have to say I don't think that the show should air during 8pm when it is supossed to be the "family hour"! Re: Big Brother

I personally think the family hour has gone by the wayside. I can't say that I was shocked by what they showed - maybe disappointed is a better word. And I'm just like what the heck are these people thinking! Ugh.

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Arial">Ratings. Big Brother is the only reality show that has increased its ratings since its inception--the sex factor has been upped each consecutive year.

BTW, I keep forgetting to check out the sponsorship advertising this year. Last year it was heavily Citrona (I gotta admit, I kinda miss the "Tonight We Drink Citrona!" logos) but what is it this year?

Re: Big Brother

Good question.

Previous years the HGs had high hopes of getting into acting or other arenas of the public eye. Not so this year--it's all victims of low-brain power and meagre life standards. But they don't even know it!

Re: Big Brother

Ha! I had to laugh at all your responses! I agree with every single one of you. My oldest, 11 can't understand why we won't let him watch it. Hello!!!! I'm glad to see that it just isn't myself. I never thought of the sponsor thing. I have no idea who is sponsoring them this year. I haven't really noticed, too much shaking my head over what the heck is going on! I agree with you dad2jbj, where do these people come from and what the heck are they thinking!!!! Don't they worry what they're parents, family, friends might see and think of them???? Don't they have any morals!!!!!

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Arial">ROTFLOL! Speaking of which - did you just die on the floor laughing at the tie breaker question for HOH when Justin answered 80,000 days for the number of days Amanda has been living! Gee, that would only roughly make her about 219 years old! I'm telling you we just about went through the roof it was so funny!

No morals, yet very PRICELESS!

<font size="2" face="Comic Sans MS, Arial">Omg, I laughed at that math too...and if I remember correctly, so did Jee. It reminded me of last year when Eric figured all the girls to be each 7 and a half feet tall.

After seeing tonight's show, I'm so sick of everyone saying that Michelle is so "sweet and innocent." Since when do such sweet and innocent people run around in those outfits??

Re: Big Brother

Haven't watched it at all. Saw the last episode from last year and decided that it wasn't worth my time.

I agree with Steve....Family Hour is no longer. The Big Three seem to have forgotten that there are kids watching TV in the evenings. And with the advent of cable and satellite, you can get inappropriate programming at any time of day now.
Most of the subject matter in the sit-coms and dramas shouldn't be viewed by elementary age kids now. I know our house relys heavily on the Disney Channel, Discovery, PBS, HGTV, AMC, and Turner Classics to fill our evenings.

Re: Big Brother

DH laughed at the math too! I am stunned at how throughtout every show, previous ones too, that these girls just jump and flop into the bed of a male housemate and cuddle right up to "discuss" their strategy!!!! Please, do you not know that cameras are everywhere and then they go in the diary room and confess that they "hope" that their significante other doesn't see this! Good Lord somebody needs to slap these people in the head!!!!
