Re: A Tribute to John Ritter ... on ABC 9/16/03 I saw parts of it. Diane Sawyer hosted. Very touching. Explained how he died on the operating table at 10 pm that night, not on the set or on the way to the hospital as I had thought.

Re: A Tribute to John Ritter ... on ABC 9/16/03 I watched it. It was very moving, and I did cry at some parts. It's just so tragic that everyone on the set thought he had food poisoning, and then then a few hours later he's gone I'm glad to see that they are going to be writing his death into the storyline of the sitcom.

Re: A Tribute to John Ritter ... on ABC 9/16/03 Oh, I watched as well. It was pretty difficult to watch from time to time. - We had just put on the news in our room at the Contemporary and had caught the tail end of this. - I had a feeling they might write his death into the series and said as much to Keith. - That was how they handled Diana was it Vreeland? in Eight is Enough a number of years ago. - I am really glad that they are because it is something that happens. In this day and age most people assume if you're parent is single they are divorced rather than widowed which is quite sad. The only thing that really irked me was how quickly they turned it into a marketing ploy. -
