Is it Walt singing or .......... I recently purchased the Official Walt Disney World Resort C.D. It's an import that has songs from the different attractions @Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom etc.. "Great Big Beautiful Tommorrow" from COP is one of the songs. I know that Walt sang a version that is no longer played at the attraction, but I'm wondering if it's him singing it on the C.D. All the writing is in Japanese(being an import)and no singer is listed next to the song title. Does anyone know if it's him?

Re: Is it Walt singing or .......... I know the album you are talking about, and although I don't have it, the most recent version of "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" is sung by legendary actor and writer Jean Shepherd. As the import features the latest mixes of those songs, I bet that's the one. Does the singer sound at all like the narrator from "A Christmas Story?"

Re: Is it Walt singing or .......... I think I have the same cd, mine is called Walt Disney World Resort Celebrating 100 Years of Magic. It was one of my Disney outlet finds this spring. On my cd it doesn't list the singer, but it says copyright 1963. Now that Brant mentioned the narrator of "The Christmas Story", the singer on my cd does sound like him. I've been reading Walt's bio and it doesn't mention him singing the theme song to the Carousel of Progress.

Re: Is it Walt singing or .......... I love Jean Shepherd! A Christmas Story is one of our favorites! I just read an article over on Deb Wills' site and yep, it's Mr. Shepherd who sings that. Wendy

Re: Is it Walt singing or .......... Walt did sing the song, but it was for a movie clip or a sound clip in the queue for a previous version of CoP. It's more of a trivia fact, not really biography material. If anyone has any more documentation of this, I'd love to see it.

Re: Is it Walt singing or .......... Well I got ripped off then! $45 bucks on Amazon, because it was imported from Japan. I love it though, makes me feel as though I were on the rides! This is the one I got from Amazon.com . It has 21 songs, beginning with "All Aboard" the Railroad tune, and ending with "Fantasy in the Sky".I know I had read somewhere that Walt had sung a version of "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow".

| Re: Is it Walt singing or .......... Yup, Michelle it's the same one! Wow I need to go to Belz! I do love it. I guess the DROP in the Spalsh Mtn. Medley is more obvious. I'm going to try what your kids do. It'll have to wait until Monday though. I listen to the C.D. at work, to have some disney magic during the mundane activities of the day!
