Ray Charles RIP One of my favorite entertainers has died today. Who didn't LOVE Ray Charles? One of the premiere talents of our time. His version of "America the Beautiful" stands high above any other version. I still remember the first time I heard "Hit the Road Jack". I was hooked for life. What is your favorite Ray Charles song?

Re: Ray Charles RIP I heard that today, too. It was very sad. I guess I would say "Georgia" too as my favorite song of his.

Re: Ray Charles RIP I was so sad to hear this. Ray Charles, besides having a gift for music, was a very generous individual. He donated a great deal of his time and money to support education here in Georgia. One of my favorites is "Seven Spanish Angels" with Willie Nelson, but of course, Georgia on My Mind is a staple here!
