Less than a week to go I cannot wait for the election to be over!!! I am so tired of all of the political commercials. I want my regular, fun, entertaining commercials back. I had to see one commercial 3 times before I realized who they were endorsing, 99% of the spot was about who NOT to vote for. Anyone else sick of this too?

Re: Less than a week to go I am I am!!I heard one on the radio yesterday that takes the cake. It also epitomizes the southerner stereotype. It was sung to the tune of "Ya'll Come" and went: "Ya'll vote (ya'll vote) Ya'll vote (ya'll vote) Now ya'll all vote for *** *** when you can!" That was too much for me!

Re: Less than a week to go They just put a huggggggggggggggge sign outside my work for bush. I just want to bash it...lol think my boss will mind? One of the owners put it out there. I saw kerry in someones lawn in big giant letters painted in red one and blue and it was on a hill so it was the size of a billboard. Yes please can we just get this election over.

Re: Less than a week to go I definitely agree. Not only is it taking up all the commercial time, even TV shows are about the elections now too! I couldn't believe it when 7th Heaven last week was all about voting and elections. I want my TV back!!

Re: Less than a week to go I want to be in informed voter when I go to the polls. Maybe it is the scientist in me but every time I hear one of those "anti" ads I just want to run to the computer and research the TRUTH. Sadly most voters aren't like me and they take everything at face value. I had a lady knock on my door by 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. She asked me if I was going to vote and I told her yes then she had the gall to ask me if I was voting for Kerry! I told her it was none of her darn business and shut the door. I should have asked her where my poling place is because I have no idea...

I told DH I never thought I would say it but, please could I just see a beer or car commercial?????????? I would love to see a kitty litter commercial, anything but the junk I'm being forced to watch. If one more poling company calls and asks who I'm voting for I'm going to scream. |

Re: Less than a week to go Agree --- November 2nd cannot arrive too early. I've been recording tv programs lately and its up to an average of 7 commericals per tv commerical break.

Re: Less than a week to go Yes, I'm also sick of these commercials. I especially hate the ones that bash other candidates. In Kentucky, Nick Clooney (George's dad) is running for (I think) U.S. Representative, and there's a HORRIBLE radio commercial that pretty much says he's an idiot. It doesn't matter who I'd vote for, that commercial is awful. There's another radio commercial here that electronically twists the words of one of the candidates (I don't even know who they're talking about, so that doesn't influence me one way or the other--and neither did the Nick Clooney one). I just cringe whenever I start to hear one of those commercials. ![]() I'll be glad when the election is over just so we can stop seeing and hearing these commercials ALL the time!

Re: Less than a week to go I can't wait 'til it's over, either! I'm so tired of it--if it isn't commercials on TV, it is the phone calls. When I get home from work EVERY DAY (for the last week or so) there have been at LEAST three messages on my machine trying to get me to vote for so-and-so. I told DH the other day that I had had it! I decided I'd keep track and whoever I heard about the LEAST from now to the election would get my vote! I wasn't really serious, but the closer it gets the more tempted I am!
