24's (2 night four hour)5th season just got started anyone else suprised that Pres. Palmer was shot in the opening minutes, not to mention the attacks/attempted attacks on the other CTU agent.

I think it will be the best one yet. We had the cable company come out and install a DVR box just so that we don't miss an episode.

It was a shocking beginning, but these last 4 hours have been absolutely riveting! I'm saddened by the deaths of Michelle and President Palmer. I really liked those two characters. Not sure what Reiko Aylesworth is up to but I believe that Dennis Haysbert is starring in a new show.

The First Lady is a nutcase [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif[/img] and her husband is a GIANT poophead!

So many questions that need to be answered. Why did President Palmer know about that guy at the airport and WHY would he tell the First Lady about it?

This is going to be a fantastic season!

I was actually SHOCKED when Palmer was shot . . . and almost cried at Wayne's show of actual EMOTION (he hasn't always been the, um, nicest guy . . . but so much better then Sherri [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] ). Martha Logan may be a whack job, but I am getting so frustrated at the fact that everyone THINKS she is a cuckoo and won't even listen to a word she says!

I am SO completely irritated with "President Logan" . . . could he be any stupider? HONESTLY!!!!

And at the very beginning when we saw Walt Cummings, I turned around to DH and said "Well, whatever's going on this season, Walt is SO in on it! He's all skittish already!" Kind of a dead giveaway, but STILL!

I hate the wait in between episodes after the premier . . . they hook you then make you wait a week and I don't know about anyone else, but it almost KILLS me to wait! [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif[/img]

i was totally unspoiled, so when President Palmer was shot, I actually jumped out of my seat!!! I love the new first lady, when she said "i look like a wedding cake" and plunged her head into the sink..that was too funny! [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/rofl2.gif[/img] [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/rofl2.gif[/img]
also, it's great that we start right off with 4 hours, but from now on we only get 1 hour a week!!!!

Totally addicted to 24! Already full of tension and excitement. I can hardly wait for the week to pass for the next episode.

I actually like the First Lady. Do you think she thought the President was coming into her room or the rat? Will she remember who chloraformed her?

Intersting question; I hope that she remembers. Watching the preview for next week, it looks like the "mole" in the White House is going to be discovered. Maybe not exactly who, but that one exists.

OMG! I think this is the best year yet. It's actually the first we've seen in actual time. We always had a committment on the nights it was on and just bought the DVD's when they came out and stay up for several nights watching it. But God Bless DVR....... It's just hard to only watch one a week.
At first I though Linn was Bill Buchanan's son and that is why the tenson but he will alway be Samwise Gumshee to me [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
