| When teams do this do you like it? Or do you see it as a way the team is trying to make more money. Some are cool, but today the Eagles are silly looking.

| I usually don't mind them if they're easy on the eyes.....but Pittsburgh's were HORRID! And I believe they're going to wear them three more games.

| I love the throwbacks a lot better than our new mascot. Where'd they dig this guy up (and I'm not talking about Heinz Ward)? ![]()

| After the awesome game the Eagles played on Sunday, they may take to sleeping in those ugly uniforms. ![]()

I'm a die-hard fan but think the mascot is a little ridiculous. He's not doing any appearances at the games-just going to visit charity-based events. I ![]() ![]() Hines Ward!! (and Troy Polamalu, Big Ben, Brett Keisel......the list goes on)!!

| As far as I can tell, the Eagles at no point in their existence have ever worn that jersey or anything like it. That is a Frankford Yellow Jackets throwback jersey. Here is a link to a history of the FYJ: Frankford Yellow Jackets |

Prior to having the franchises "swapped" in 1941, the Bert Bell franchise that played football in Philadelphia did wear the Frankford Yellow Jackets colors... Philadelphia Eagles "Throwback Game -- Kicker David Akers and defensive end Jevon Kearse modeled blue and yellow throwback uniforms at the press conference, commemorating the color scheme and design worn by the Eagles during their first season in the NFL in 1933. Designed in cooperation with the NFL and Reebok, the uniforms will be worn during the September 23 home game vs. the Detroit Lions. The blue and yellow colors were the first colors worn by the Eagles, after the Frankford Yellow Jackets went bankrupt and the NFL awarded the Philadelphia franchise to a syndicate headed by former University of Pennsylvania teammates Lud Wray and Bert Bell for an entry fee of $2,500. The Swedes were in Philadelphia before the arrival of William Penn and he incorporated their colors into the City of Philadelphia's flag."
