|  Question for all Would you rather have your team talked about all over ESPN  about what a great team, how they are going to win it all  OR would you rather have your team be the underdog, the I can't believe they made it into the postseason, and where did they guys come from team? Me  I prefer the underdog. Look at the yanks, there are tons of people that root for against them JUST because they're the yanks. me too...

| I'd rather be the underdog first. I say this because, once again, my Tar Heels are ranked #1 in the pre-season NCAA basketball polls. This is never good for us. We were ranked #1 last year and while it wasn't a bad season by any means, no national championship. Our last national championship ('05) came from a year where we weren't ranked #1 in the pre-season and lost an exhibition game in December . Of course, some would argue UNC is never an underdog but my freshman year was under Matt Doherty, so I know different!

| Another one who would rather be the underdog. It's much nicer to hear "HOLY COW! Where did these guys come from?!" than "Dang, for the 30 point favorite, they sure looked like a pee-wee team out there today."

| Underdog here too... look at the Rockies! Woohoo! And Oregon Beavers & Ducks last year.

| It all depends on whether 'my' team is the underdog or not that season! 2004 was a good year for the underdog!

| It would be nice if either my Niners or Giants (SF) could be anything but an underdog... It would  shock me to hear in any other context these days.
