| Why must I be a Cub fan?!?!  That game last night was slow torture. It was one of the longest games I've seen and they played sooooo bad.  I actually felt bad for poor Ted Lily (pitcher). I've never seen him pitch that horribly. How depressing would that be? You'd have to feel like you just totally blew it.  But I can't help it. I love my Cubbies. Ever since I was a kid I've loved going to Wrigley Field. It's just so bad the way they smash your heart over and over and over. Yet I keep coming back for more. I finally realized last night just how twisted it really is when in the bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, bases loaded (if i remember right, it was 1:00am by this point), and a usually good hitter who it just so happens hasn't had a single hit in the postseason is at the plate...and I still have that little glimmer of hope. Besides the next 2 games are at Wrigley. If you've never been there it is an amazing place. So much energy and just a great place to be. They'll turn it around there, win 2 and be right back in it. See??? That hope just refuses to die!

| I feel for you... My DH and I were just talking about the bad luck of the Cubs. As a Red Sox fan, let me say this, when it does happen, and it will, it is the greatest feeling in the world! Our DD, then 1.5yo was up with us when the Sox won in 2004. We were sobbing idiots!
