Thats great I used to watch it all the time but the last few seasons haven't really followed it. It used to be much more advertised but now that i have the schedule I'll tune in more often i'm sure!

Thanks for the link! I've missed figure skating over the past couple of years. They haven't been televising it as much as they had a few years back. I wonder what is up with that?

ratings have not been very high since the 2002 olympics when the scandel that rocked the skating world happened (improper judging during the pairs portion)

tied to the fact that lack of ticket sales/interest in shows and competitions have basically killed the 'professional realm' of skating. Olympic Elligible competitions are alive and well, but aside from a few holiday shows and a couple of small tours once you retire from competition you're done (unless you have a major title to your name so you can get on one of the tours)

it's just sad... it used to be on every weekend when I was growing up...

I love figure skating, but do you know, they barely ever show it over here, outside of the Winter Olympics, which is such a shame.

Eurosport shows quite a bit of the European Championships, as well as the World Championships... I don't have a tv listing for it, but I can ask around to see what they'll be showing this year (they have live feeds on their website I know that)

Thanks for posting the schedule. I love figure skating (have been a true fan since the Dorothy Hamill days) but often forget to check the schedule and then just happen to find something on. I did catch the "Frosted Pink" special this past weekend.

I fell in love with skating in 1988 when Scott Hamilton skated in a Disney on Ice Show (it was 88 or 89 not really sure lol) here in Anchorage... I've been a diehard professional skating fan ever since and only recently fell in love with the competitive stuff... it's not entertaining in the same way, but the tension and suspense is killer!
