| How cool is this? Thumbs up for red sox JUst saw this article on AOL fanhouse.. "This Halloween, Jason Varitek gave trick-or-treaters something infinitely more valuable than a king-sized Snickers bar. The Red Sox captain sat in a lawn chair at the top on his driveway and handed out autographs, signing baseballs, hats, shirts, pillow cases stuffed with candy, and a green alien glove from a youngster's costume... " what a really neat thing to do & I'll bet he made a lot of kids VERY VERY happy (as well as dentists) to read the entire article click the link above

| I use to live in Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Brookline (very close to Newton). I guess Roger Clemens lived down the street from my college...a couple of Boston Bruins and a couple of other Red Sox lived in our neighborhood. One of my girlfriends actually baby sat for a for one of the Bruins. We would all laugh at each other when someone suggested we go trick or treating in the neighborhood because most of the homes had gates around them...some even had guard dogs. That is cool that Jason did that! I would have been there in a second...with Belle dressed in her Flounder costume (wonder if he had dog treats?
