| Man there are some angry Packers fans around here I'm hiding!!! Seriously, I am not a big football fan at all, but the HUGE story around here today is how the NFL won't allow us to see the Packers games on our CBS affiliate. This is HUGE Packers country up here (even though we're in Michigan, it's only 3 hrs to Green Bay vs. 8 to Detroit). I guess this Thursdays game is telecast by the NFL Network which is not available on Charter, which supplies cable telecasts to most Upper Peninsula locations. We've always been able to catch the games on CBS as that channel comes right from Green Bay. Lots of a-n-g-r-y people

| DH made a good point yesterday when we were talking about this. He said, if enough "to-do" is made about it and Comcast is made to look "bad" from all of the complaints, they may pick the game up. A few hundred angry phone calls to Comcast wouldn't hurt either. ![]()

| Ohhhhh that is almost as bad as the Big Ten network down here. I don't understand why they need a network for this stuff? Nothing like making the core audience figure out a place to go.

| The NFL Network has been running an advertising campaign all season long in the newspapers around here for cable customers to call their cable company and request they add the NFL Network to their systems. I have DirecTV, so I'll be able to watch the game.

| OMG, I can only imagine the riot this must cause! As a huge Packer fan living in Germany, I know how much it stinks NOT being able to see the games... Here's hoping they'll change their mind!

| Well don't underestimate the power of contacting elected officials in situations like this. Rep. Bart Stupak went to work and got it done. Thursdays game will now be aired.

| That's great to here that the game is on TV... I was just coming to post this message I received from NFL.Com: "Watch Packers - Cowboys on NFL.com via NFL.com/Live" Looks like they are making accomodations for the many houses across the nation who do not have access to NFL Network.

| It was not on here, and there were loads of people heading to bars to watch it. However, Comcast says it's not them, it's that the NFL wants everyone to buy into the NFL network. Now me, I'm not a total football fan, I just like the parties. I can't see forking out more money to the cable company. They already take a large chunk of my paycheck! |

| There will be a lot of angry Patriots and Giants fans on Dec. 29, when that game is being shown on the NFL channel. Me included!!!

| I've been frustrated by the Big Ten/Comcast battle this year. I know 2 people who have cancelled Comcast and gone with another carrier to get the games. I don't know who's to blame, but I wish all of these large organizations would work it out!
