Catching a MLB game on road trip

We're planning a road trip this summer, and DS wants to see a MLB game. Based on our schedule and the team schedules, this is our possibilities:

Toronto
Yankees
Mets
Nationals

Philly is away, and Pittburgh is sold out.

How are the cheap seats at these stadiums? Any advice on which to choose? Pros or cons? NYC is more out of the way of our route, but we haven't ruled it out. Any advice on choosing seats, or getting tickets? Thanks!!

Sorry to hear the Phillies are out-of-town when you are visiting. Citizen's Bank Park is a neat place to watch a game.
I think cheap seats run in the $15-$25 range at most parks. $15 is the rate for the worst seat at CBP, and $22 is the price for an upper-deck seat in the infield.

Yankee Stadium will be closing this year, so you may want to try going there.
The Nationals will be playing in a brand new stadium, so demand for tickets there may be high.

If I was picking among the four choices you listed, I'd opt for Yankee Stadium.

The Jays should be at home while you're visiting (and they're playing the Braves on the weekend!!). I just checked the website http://tickets.audienceview.com and tickets range from $9 - $57. There's a seating chart you can check out too. I think the tickets I would get would likely be the $41 tickets. However, they have decent seats for $21, and you can sit in the Nosebleeds for $9.

If the Nationals and Phillys are on your route - what about Baltimore? They have a really nice stadium. Can't help much with any of the others.

pittsburgh is sold out? you must be traveling in june while the yankees are in town. that's too bad because PNC park is amazing. of the four, i'd see the yankees at yankee stadium. i'm not a fan, but they're tearing the stadium down, and i'd go to see it.

Who is Pittsburgh playing that they are sold out already? We've gone to a few games there and have never had them be sold out! Even if you have to get seats that aren't the "cheap seats" - their prices are not too bad (comparitively!)
Although I am an absolute non Yankees fan, I think I would have to go to Yankee Stadium if I had the chance! Such a cool atmosphere for a game and truly dedicated fans!

Both the Yankees and the Mets are playing there final seasons at their respective stadiums, so there is definitely history there.

Of course I believe that Ticket Prices for both are reflecting that fact as well. I'm a huge Mets fan myself, and parking is a notable problem the last couple of years as they build the new Stadium basically in the old parking lot.

I can't speak to Yankee Stadium (I've only been once) but at Shea the cheap seats are pretty high up, but I have watched games from them and think they are fine.

Also, I don't know about the Yankee's but at Shea the games are rated, and ticket prices vary based on the team they are playing. Some games are more expensive then others.
