| I just want to pipe in and say that yesterday was a very special day. Could we have asked for a more beautiful day for our home opener? And Bobby Orr was there!!! I don't care what anyone says, he is the best hockey player there ever was. But, the F16's, and the flags (which, btw, one of the guys I work with was one of the "flag unfurlers". Is that a word?) He told me today that he was almost in tears it was such a moving ceremony. I was in tears. How awesome is Johnny Pesky? I mean, everything was just fantastic!

| You're exactly right, Robin......there is no place like home!! I was so happy to be back there on Tuesday and am chomping at the bit to get back there again!! Nancy, it was an absolutely gorgeous day. DS, DF and I were all wearing 3 layers and still froze, but it was wonderful and I wouldn't ask to change a thing!! I actually got to talk to Johnny Pesky before the game and he was an absolute sweetheart. He was in his car, so it was a brief conversation.....he kept making comments to DS too....calling him young man....I didn't have the heart to flash my camera in his face. Last time we chatted with him was about 7 or 8 years ago at McCoy stadium during a kids clinic. We spent about 20 minutes chatting in the dugout....at that time I had no clue who he was until some kid asked if we knew who we were talking to He really is a total doll!! The girl who sits in front of us (our Fever Pitch family) ran into him walking around prior to the game. She asked to take a photo with him, which he granted, but he also told her she could take 100 if she'd like! What a guy!!I'll be working on a video shortly with the photos (488 between DS & myself) and video from Opening Day..... here is an unedited version of the banners being released....I still get choked up watching it!! Red Sox Opening Day at Fenway Park - April 8, 2008

| Wooo-hoooo! I had so much fun at the game last night. Granted I couldn't leave my set once Manny started lighting up Mussina as the bleacher creachers became rather, ummm, agitated towards us Sox fans... It was definitely an experience!

| Great win today, but my heart does go out to former Red Sox, Kasson Gabbard. My dad said it looked like he caught his foot on the tread, when he was pitching, and fell off the mound. Being pulled out of a game that early makes any game a tough one to win for your team. Hope he heals quickly. ![]() ![]()

| Dyan, I just wanted to tell you I love your pictures, you totally crack me up! I loved the Ortiz one and Pope Schilling! Tomorrow I am going on the Fenway Park tour with a single parent group I belong to and I am totally psyched. My dad thinks I am crazy because I am so happy about going, and he said that how could I be excited when there isn't a game going on? But, I think it will be a blast and my three kids are going to love it. Have a great day, everyone...
