| Home Run Derby Anyone watch last night? Josh Hamilton put on an EXCELLENT show that first round . . . 28 home runs?!?!? Heck, some guys can't even hit 28 dingers in an entire SEASON let alone one day. ![]() He may not have won the Derby, but I admire his story of how he turned his life around and is living his dream now. ![]()

| Completely agree with you Sarah regarding Josh Hamilton's story. Those are the type of stories I like to hear about. I was floored by the 28 HR in the first round. I loved how he had his junior high coach there pitching to him. Probably the first HR Derby I didn't fall asleep in the middle of. ![]()

| It is a great story. Certainly more heartening than the sordid tale of A-Rod

| I agree about A-Rod. I was actually kind of disgusted that they were even discussing the fact that "he wasn't even invited" to the derby this year.SO WHAT. I am much more happy that there were many other issue-free contestants making the derby a great one rather than the walking media circus that is the A-Rod situation (which would have made it less worth watching, IMO) What cracked me up about Hamilton's old coach (I didn't mean that old AGE wise, I promise. ) was after the first round when they came off the field and Coach asked "I gotta throw again?!" ![]() It's nice to see something POSITIVE in pro sports every so often, ya know?

| We never miss the HR Derby - I'd rather watch it than the All Star Game! It was definitely a fun evening!

| I was happy that Justin Morneau won the home run derby as he is from my hometown team, the Minnesota Twins.

| I'm still angry that Clint Hurdle didn't pick Ryan Howard for the team... the guy is leading the NL in Homers and RBIs and isn't on the squad?!?

| I was so proud of the only Blue Jay at the All Star Game. Halladay pitched awesome. And Josh is such an inspiration to so many.
