Michael Phelps
I think the best way to describe this young man is . . . STUD.

My gosh . . . I don't even think impressive BEGINS to describe him!

He is now THE most decorated (Gold Medal wise) Olympian EVER. He just won his 10th career Gold and got his 25th career world record . . . and he still has another final to race tonight (and, I believe, he has 3 more races after THAT provided he makes it through to the finals).

Did you see that special on how much that kid eats in one day?!? I can't imagine the calories he burns in a day, either, though....

I read an article about him in the paper a couple of weeks ago. Apparently as a child, he had severe ADHD. He was described as a really annoying kid, but when he would swim he became really focused on that. When asked about his strategy or mindset going into a race, he basically said that he thinks about....nothing. His mind is blank. He really is a swimming machine!

I missed that! When was that on?? I'm sure it must be a lot. I have a friend who runs marathons (he's ranked 19th in the country). He told me he eats over 5000 calories a day and he still loses weight!!

I have my photo taken with my kids in Minnie's chair every time we go. My youngest daughter, Karis, was none to happy about having her photo made. But mommy did not care! I was getting my photo!

Phelps fan here!!!! Love him!!!!

Brendan Hansen is our favorite swimmer because he's from our town---- but Phelps is absolutely incredible!!!!! No doubt about it!!!!!!!!!

I also love that Verizon commercial with the girls who are Phelps fans-- it's my favorite!!!

Even as a Brit, ( go Team GB) I can't help but admire his ability.
One of of our TV channels has a cardboard cut out of him in the studio, each time he wins gold they add another medal around his neck.

DH and I love watching Phelps!! An incredible swimmer/athlete. Not only is he getting the gold medals, he (or his relay team) are doing it in world record time. AMAZING!!
