| Brady out with probable ACL.... and while he certainly has my sympathy, after just awakening from working 4 nights in a row I've been watching SportsCenter for today's highlights......and it's Brady this, Brady that. As a Steeler fan, I kinda wanted some of OUR highlights as well. At least they're done talking about Favre.....for now. ETA: It's been pushed back several times today, but the latest is the Patriots will hold a press conference @ 3PM EST today to verify what has been broadcast all night last night & all day-that Brady is done for the year.

| I'm a Chiefs fan but live outside their TV market now, so I didn't get to see what happened until later. But when I saw the score scroll across the screen at the Chiefs-Patriots halftime I knew something was odd... I my Chiefs but there was no way they should have been keeping pace unless something bad had happened to the Patriots. Bummer for them and for Brady.

| Hopefully, Matt Cassel will be able to step in and do okay. Although the pre-season did nothing to prove that! Maybe he will just transform the way Brady did when Bledsoe got hurt![]() ![]()

| On the way home from work, I heard that Brady needs surgery and should be out for the remainder of the season. They had some special name for his status - not just "He's on the DL" - but it doesn't look like he'll be back this year. ETA: Just found a video on the Patriots website addressing this: Patriots Now! Brady on I.R. And, now I remember what they were calling his status "Injured Reserve", which must be what that I.R. means. I don't understand football (the baseball in my blood, I guess) , but I'm sure you all know what it means! Just call me clueless! ![]()

I'm sure you've seen those men cry! I've heard their tears here in PA! No one wants an injury like this to happen! Hoping his surgery will go well and he'll have a full recovery! I'm just upset over the "fine/suspend Pollard" comments that are online and on tv. He did not do a vindictive hit - it was just a normal play in a football game. The Commissioner has tried to quell the comments. He said they have reviewed over and over the tapes and Pollard would not be fined or suspended. There wasn't even a flag on the play. Unfortunately, a terrible accident. Sorry Pats fans!
