Tropicana field?

hi guys!

while we're in WDW, our phillies are playing against the rays (who know have our pat burrell ) so we're making the trip over to tampa to catch a game.

i was wondering if anybody on here has ever been to the field and can give me some info about how the seating works, mainly the rows. i'm checking both ticketmaster and stubhub and i don't quite understand the rows. up here at citizen's bank, our rows are numbered. their's are lettered, which wouldn't be a problem but some are doubled. (such as AA, or JJ, etc) am i correct in assuming that AA means the first row of a section or is just a single A the first?

thanks for any and all help.

After looking at ticketmaster, which was no help at all, my guess would be that the rows go A - Z and then go to AA and on from there. Keep in mind some stadiums don't have rows Q, X, or Z so row AA could be anywhere from the 24th to the 27th row.

that's what i originally thought but i spent some time checking stubhub as well, and it seemed on there like AA were first row in the area i was looking at. hmpfh. i guess i'll have to find a Rays forum or give their box office a call tomorrow.

I am pretty sure the top rows of the upper deck "cheap seats" are the double letter rows . . . Tropicana goes up to row TT in some sections of the upper deck (2-3 sections on the base lines).

this is what one of my friends said but the seats i was looking at are the red area behind the dugouts in this picture:

they're definitely lower level, and very close to the field.

why can't all stadiums have a universal seating chart!

In that case . . .

The double letters are the back seats in that section, the single letters are the lower. So for example if you have Section 115 row J, you should be in the 10th row back from the visitors' dugout.
