| Curling Season Has Started I'm a competitive curler on a regional level hoping to reach the national level in the coming season. The curling season at my club started this week and I opened the season with a 5-4 victory on Monday and another 5-4 victory last night. I'll try to keep everyone updated esp. when I start playing in tournaments at the beginning of November. |

| Thanks. I have the draft for one of my leagues tonight. I have a middle-of-the-pack pick after going one game over .500 last season. I have to play my way into another league. My team has a good chance since we played in it last year but didn't finish high enough to automaticly qualify for this season. |

| The season is off to a rough start. However, it's not from poor play. Our compressors (what keep the ice cold) are failing and not keeping the ice cold. So, it's very slushy at the moment. Hopefully, things will start to get fixed tomorrow. Last edited by Timothy Mouse; 10-19-2009 at 07:42 PM.. |

| Good news. The ice was able to be saved. It wasn't the compressors. It was a bad circulating pump which wasn't allowed coolant to flow into the ice field. The pump was replaced and we're back up and running. First league game of the season is tomorrow at 8:35 pm. |

| Good luck this season. Curling looks like a fun sport to play. I remember watching it during the last Olympics.
