| Do you have a Brick or Legacy? Do you or your family have a Walk Around the World brick near the Magic Kingdom, or did you Leave a Legacy at Epcot? If you have, would you like to share it with the PassPorter community?
Please, tell us where to find it, and (in the case of a brick) what information was engraved upon the brick. That way, whenever any of us visit Walt Disney World we'll have another way to share a bit of PassPorter community spirit.
Jennifer and I left our Legacy on September 30, 1999, the day before the official start of the Millennium Celebration. You can find our smiling faces at Epcot at West 6-A-3-10-8. That would mean the west side of the monument “garden” as you enter Epcot's main gate, sixth monument, tile plate column A, third tile plate, ten images up, and 8 images across.
What is Leave a Legacy? Read our report!
For that matter, what is a Walk Around the World brick? The Walk Around the World is a brick-paved pathway that nearly encircles the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Magic Kingdom. Each brick is engraved with the name(s) and hometown of an individual, couple or family.
As with all else at Walt Disney World, you can purchase your own brick or Legacy. You'll find a kiosk for Walk Around the World just outside the gates of the Magic Kingdom, and you'll find Leave A Legacy kiosks just after you enter Epcot's main gate.
So, now it's your turn!

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? Hi Dave!
As I mentioned in another post, I am really hoping to get a brick and maybe two tiles at WDW on our trip this year. But I have some questions:
Do you get to pick a spot for your brick or is it just assigned to any location? Do they skip around with locations? Where are they up to now?
The tiles look pretty small and we are a family of four. Can we really do two people to a tile and be able to see it? Will these columns stay where they are or will they be taken down or relocated at the end of the millenium celebration?
Any info you have will certainly be appreciated!

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? I purchased a brick Oct. 25th 1999 in celebration of our 25th Wedding Anniversary for this year. It reads:
Deb & H Wright
25 yrs 9-20-75
Cape May, NJ
H19 620
If facing towards the monorail in front of the ticket booths, it is to the far right before you get to the bus terminal.
I was hoping it would have been in place when we went down to WDW Feb 9-16, but it wasn't! It was due to go in the next week!!
Oh Well, Guess we just have to go back together!

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? Cruella,
As far as I know, you have no say in where your brick will be placed
I've noticed that they do skip around a bit, and seem to be working on several locations around the lagoon at the same time.
As to the Legacy photos....
You sign an agreement with Disney when you buy a Legacy. They promise to display them in some fashion for 20 years, but that, "As the Walt Disney World Resort is ever-changing, the Guest agrees that the Image and the Image Location may be replaced or relocated within the Walt Disney World Resort and that if the Image is relocated, it may be displayed in a different manner and on a different medium than that present at the original Image Location...."
In short, they may be moved, but we've heard of no rumors or plans at the moment. I'd be surprised if they moved them at any time in the near future, though.
Image size is small, even for one face, no less two - the "tiles" are about 1 inch square. Two people look ok -- not that much different than a single headshot, but I can understand why Disney wouldn't allow more than two people in a tile -- guests would be very dissatisfied with the tiny results. There's very little image detail, as there's only black or "white" - no intermediate shading. A family of four would probably look like four little blobs. :\
Suffice it to say, the photos of Jennifer and me in PassPorter are far superior.

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? Basic bricks cost around $110, and the deluxe bricks (granite instead of brick) cost somewhat more.
Legacies cost around $35 for one head, and $38 for a two-head shot. There are AP and MKC discounts, too.

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? I bought a Brick for my wife, as a wedding present in 1996. It was up in time for our honeymoon. It has the wedding bells on the top and says: Dee and Bill
Wangerien
April 13, 1996
It's just outside MK by the monorail ramps and boat docks.
We also bought one for my parents 25 anniversary (it's by the Luau at the Poly) and for My brother and sister-inlaw's wedding (it's buy the TTC)
We get our picture taken in front of it each time we go, so we can see how well we age |

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? I do not have either, but enjoy reading the names of people who do. I love walking into Mk reading the names on the bricks. Low and behold! Someone from my hometown. I amazed we live in a town of 20,000 people.

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? This is great! We have a Walk around the World brick and would love to hear from anyone who's seen it. It's between the bus stop and ticket sales, almost under the monorail line, E06853. We bought it way back in 1994 (not long after they started the Walk program). It says "The Timm Family" followed by our names. No city because my hubby had just been transferred by his company and we didn't know when he might get transferred again. It's so nice to know how many people pass it every day at the MK, and like I said, would love to hear from anyone who sees it. |

| Re: Do you have a Brick or Legacy? While my friends were in WDW in early April, they bought me a legecy as a gift..so when I went in mid April, my daughter went and had our pictures taken...We did it over next to American building, as we were told, that one is not as crowded and we were the only ones there at that time.. Since we have been home, we checked it out on their web site and saw our picture...Yeah they are small, but it will be cool for my 13 yr. old to bring her children someday to see...
Dave: Do you know if & how can I get a brick through the mail? Thanks debbi
