Anyone made pressed coins into a bracelet?

My daughter heard from a friend that some of the press machines will put a hole in the coin and there are sites around the World that will make them into a bracelet.

Has anyone done this or have any info on it?

Re: Anyone made pressed coins into a bracelet?

Great idea LauraBelle!

You could do this by going to a craft store and in the jewlrey section look for (not sure what they are called) little round rings to attach one pressed penny to another & clasps & hooks to complete the bracelet.

=-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-p

= & P (would be clasp & hook)
o (would be the little rings to hold pennies together)
- (would be the pennies)

Hope you can under stand this!
Next trip I am going to invest into some Pressed Pennies!

Thanks so much for the GREAT IDEA!

I love working with beads and trinkets and turning them into jewelry. I can't believe I never thought of this project. This is a great idea! I can't wait to get started. Thanks LauraBelle!!! A LOT!

Re: Anyone made pressed coins into a bracelet?

That is a really neat idea! But, I've never seen a machine at WDW that puts a hole in the coin? I suppose you could get that done at a craft or jewelry store, though.

They are called 'jump hoops'.

Great idea, debe. I might do that! (I have a drill.) I am a real "handyman, er, handy person" !

Re: Anyone made pressed coins into a bracelet?

Michelle, do you have a nieghbor or friend that would have a drill? You may have to lightly sand the area where it was drilled just to knock off any sharp edges (if any).

I have a friend going down shortly so I think I may get her to pick up a few coins for me just to try this out!
