Spectromagic pins

I read somewhere that there are pins that interact with the spectromagic parade. Does anyone know where you can get them at or what they look like?

These are fairly older -- I remember them from 2002. I think they were called Magic Moments pins and you can find them on eBay or learn about them with a Google search.

My son had one attached to his pouch that we'd forgotten about -- it lit up years later while were were at a parade...

There are 4 Magic Moments pins from 2001/2002, celebrating Walt Disney's 100th birthday. Each pin has the main icon for each park (Castle, Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, Sorcerer Mickey's hat). I have all four pins and would be happy to post pics if you'd like.

I haven't seen them for sale on Disney property since that promotion ended years ago.

They are frequently for sale on eBay. You could do a search there and see if anyone has any pictures!

Do they still work? We bought one in 2002 and still have it. I never thought to take it back!

Ok forgive me if this information is incorrect but here is what I know

I purchased the 5 below in OCT of 2002 I believe they were releases sometime in Oct 2001 due to that was the start of the 100 years of Magic. These pins have no on or off button they constantly scan for a "trigger" that made them light up. I remember when I was at the HM they flashed also during bugs life and during the parade. The funny thing is that when they were activated during bugs life it actually matched what was going on in the screen like when the stink bug cuts loose well my pin was flashing yellow. Once you get them home the only way the light is by pressing down on them (even though there are rummers that some remote controls trigger them but none at my house have )

Now These below are a little different the 2003 pin acts the same as the above ( I don't own it but this is what I was told) / Now as for the other 3 they have On and off switches and can play games "Each of the pins have four colored buttons on the bottom which serve as game selectors and to play the games. One of the games is basically another version of laser tag in which you use the "send" button on the back of the pin to take others' pins light up one color at a time. When they get three hits, they're out. Another game is a take on memory, in which you have to press the buttons on the bottom in the sequence that the pin displays them.

They also come with an instruction manual that reads: The new Disney's Magical Moments Pins feature two ways to join in the Magic. By moving the switch on the back of the Pin to 'Park' mode, you can experience the many Magical Moments in the Walt Disney World® Resort theme parks. The Pin will magically display special light sequences during many shows, attractions, and parades. "Once you leave the theme parks, the fun continues when you move the switch into 'Game' mode. Now you can choose to play one of 4 new games by yourself or with your friends."

Also they do not work at Disneyland. And I have no Idea if they still work at WDW now but I heard they do. If I go back this year I sure as heck will take 1 or 2 with me and let you guys know. Feel free to ask me any questions. Oh and the pics came from pinpics.com

The do, apparently, still work at Disney World.... I just haven't brought mine along as the batteries have died and replacing them would be too costly.
