Can I upgrade my GADGADD ticket?
For the upcoming Give A Day Get A Disney Day promotion, do you think there is any chance I could pay to upgrade the ticket to a Park Hopper? Everything I'm reading in the fine print just says it is a one day, one park admission. Do you think that implies that they won't let me?
This is one that I think we'll need to hear from someone with first-hand experience after the promotion goes into effect in 2010.
Generally, Disney allows people to upgrade most tickets -- but I haven't heard specifically whether they allowed this with the "Free Admision on your Birthday" tickets. I know there have been some who've gotten comp tickets that they couldn't upgrade....
I'd call and ask -- even Disney may have not determined this yet, so we still may have to wait until the promotion starts to get a firm answer.

Thanks, everyone. There are worse things in life than being stuck in the Magic Kingdom for an entire day for free . I was just curious if I might have been able to scoot over to DHS for a little while, but it certainly isn't a dealbreaker.
Another question that probably cannot be answered, but if anyone wants to take a stab at it ... the promotion starts Jan 1, and it says it typically takes about 2 weeks to receive your email that you use to print your voucher to take to the park. We are considering going down MLK Day weekend. Iffy if we'll get the voucher in time? I'm almost certain there are volunteer things to do here on Jan 1-2, so I'm not worried about that part. I may have to call them directly on this one?
I know that, in the past, the new promotion did not begin on Jan 1, but a few weeks later.
If there are volunteer opportunities the first couple of days of the year, then maybe they'll be able to quickly report to Disney that you've completed those days (or maybe you get proof when you're doing the volunteer work.)
I'm not sure I'd count on it, though, just in case they aren't that quick about it -- especially right as the promotion starts.
