Dh and I decided that a trip to WDW would be the pefect place to celebrate our sweet Levi's 1st birthday (since our last trip will be exactly 1 year and 9 months ago!!!)!!! Any tips on celebrating a 1st birthday at WDW?? We would like to make this day special (without breaking the bank!). Thanks!!
That is a great idea on the birthday cake! I wonder which TS meal we should do this on? Do you think it makes a difference??
There are some TS meals that will make a little extra birthday magic happen. When we went in November, Crystal Palace had confetti and streamers on our table and then brought a birthday card signed by all the Winnie the Pooh characters. Just last week my BFF was there with her family. Once again CP did an awesome job at making a little birthday magic for her son, but the Princess meal at Akershus didn't really acknowledge her little girl's birthday.
We have CP, Chef Mickeys, Cape May, Hollywood and Vine, 1900 Park Fair, Scifi drive-in, Hoop Dee Doo, and Tusker House. (Can you tell we like character meals??)

I know CP will do something for his birthday. I think I have read where Chef Mickey's does something special for birthdays. I would definitely suggest having a cake at a character meal. It might garner just a bit more attention to the birthday boy from the characters. Figure out which character he likes the most and have the cake at that meal.
We celebrated birthdays for my three kids at CP, Chef Mickey's, and Tusker House (Breakfast). CP and Tusker House presented the child celebrating a cupcake and a card with the character's signatures. Chef Mickey's presented just a cupcake. I'm not sure if it was just a simple oversight, or if they just give out the cupcake. I love CP, my dh enjoyed the food at Chef Mickey's, and we had a wonderful experience at Tusker House. You can't go wrong celebrating at any of your choices
I think we will order the cake for our TS meal at Crystal Palace. It is my FAVORITE character meal and Pooh and Tiger are just too sweet for a 1st birthday.

Good choice! We did CP for my younger son's first birthday and we had a blast and got some great pictures. They did a great job like others have said with a decorated table and a card and lots of 100 acre attention.
It looks to me like you have a super cute souvenir from your last trip!! wink wink nudge nudge
